Q: Druid, Circle of Stars "Archer Starry Form" and Lvl 10 Twinkling Constellations form change: How many Luminous Arrow attacks can you make in one turn?

VoiceChatty Starry Form At 2nd level, you gain the ability to harness constellations' power to alter your form. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on a starry form, rather than transforming into a beast. Whenever you assume your starry form, choose which of the foll...

Q: Would Spell Storing (weapon) be a superior option than Spell Storing, Minor (ring) for self buffing?

Terry WindwalkerIn DND 3.5e, both can contain up to 3 levels of spells in total. Spell Storing, Minor (ring) costs 18000GP. On the other hand, Spell Storing (Weapon) costs +1 bonus, which makes the minimum cost 8000GP + weapon cost (can be even less than 1GP). So in the case of self-buffing (or even for triggeri...

Can someone convince me that shuriken may have melee weapon special abilities? Everything I've seen about them assumes they can, but they say they are "treated as ammunition for the purposes of...crafting masterwork or otherwise special versions of them..." and I would think that includes magic weapons.

@Phoenices I cannot convince you of that, at least not broadly. Do you have an example?

Q: Double Rings of Amity

Nobody the HobgoblinThe Ring of Amity from Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants has a property that states: When you first attune to this ring, you can touch one willing creature and form a magical bond between the two of you. While this bond lasts, whenever you are subjected to a spell or magical effect that restor...

but on the other hand they seem to assume you can put spell storing on a crossbow bolt so maybe the idea is enchanting the shuriken as an improvised weapon? not sure about this.

I think before asking to be convinced of "can you," you have to set your criteria. I could make a convincing narrative argument for it, without invoking anything in the rulebooks; would that convince you? What about an argument for empowering fun play at the table?
Even within "use the rulebooks to convince me," there's a massive span from "they don't say you can't" to "they specifically say it's possible," with inbetweens like "if we interpret this sentence one way the rules disallow it, but an equally plausible reading would leave it ambiguous."
Sometimes people even say "convince me" but they mean "give me an argument I can use to convince my GM."

Hah, that's fair enough; you're right that it doesn't particularly matter in any way, in this case.

On a better topic, I had only two players today so I ran a one-shot a few miles away from the rest of the party. Four kobolds in a trenchcoat (my brother) and a warlock (our often-absent player), helping a party of three adventurers burn down the chimera forest. I have been waiting months to spring grasshopper-scorpions on my players. Pun intended.

The snake-frog-goat was even more fun, though it could have used more description. Chimera, but with a frog's head and a constrictor snake instead of venom.
