Professional tip: when responding to an email that has upset you (especially to the point of expletives), draft the email, then leave it for a few hours while you calm down.

I'm dealing with a project handover from a previous business partner, regarding FTP access, and their response is basically "not my problem", but probably in the most condescending way I can think of.

@Ben Related tip, set aside 5-10 minute windows once every 2 hours to look at and process emails. This includes drafting long emails. Don't look at/process emails at any other time. That habit has on a number of occasions saved me both from rash replies, but also given me space to look over emails I started earlier in the day.

But yes, that sounds like a very frustrating situation
