@Medix2 🙃
@Medix2 what the what, sage advice

Natural Language was clearly a great idea (sarcastic)
There's also: "Actions and bonus actions aren't interchangeable."
@Medix2 oh yeah
Best idea WOTC ever had, right? </sarcasm>

Q: Does Tremorsense allow Attacks of Opportunity while Blinded?

OdoCan a monster with tremorsense that is blinded make attacks of opportunity when an enemy leaves its reach? Tremorsense is described as: A monster with tremorsense can detect and pinpoint the origin of vibrations within a specific radius, provided that the monster and the source of the vibrations...

@Medix2 I just need to make, like, a "4e did it" sticker or something, don't I?

Q: Does the bonus damage from Spirit Shroud apply to an Echo's opportunity attacks?

AndrendireThe UA spell Spirit Shroud has the following effect: Until the spell ends, any attack you make deals 1d8 extra damage when you hit a creature within 10 feet of you. The Echo Knight has the following ability (emphasis mine): When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of your echo moves at l...

Q: Can an Echo Knight with the War Caster feat use cantrips for opportunity attacks made by their Echo?

AndrendireThe Echo Knight has the following ability: When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of your echo moves at least 5 feet away from it, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against that creature as if you were in the echo's space. The Warcaster feat has the following benef...

Q: Would the 6th level Shepherd Druid's Mighty Summoner feature works on summoned creatures not made from spells

PyroManiacTo clarify, when I say "summoned creatures not made from spells", I mean summons that are from class features and the like, so the Shadow Sorcerer's Hound of Ill Omen, the Hexblade's Accursed Specter, Raven Queen's Sentinel Raven (tho less hp on this would be nice) and the Beastmaster/Drakewarden...

@HotRPGQuestions somebody’s playing an echo knight lately...

I logged back into ENWorld for the first time in 13 years and looked at some of my old posts.... it was painful
I did find 3.5e stats I had created for bizarre creatures like Crab Kobold hybrids
Crabolds?
@AncientSwordRage why did you log back in? If it was just for the old posts I would highly recommend against doing that sort of thing. I had a similar experience looking at last year’s history “essay”
I had much the same feeling looking back over my posts in my facebook timeline
entirely unrelatedly I have deleted almost everything I ever posted on my facebook timeline
@BardicWizard I got an email and I was curious, I was not prepared for the cringe. Thankfully I didn't find that distressing in the least
I would definitely be fine deleting some of the posts
but that Crobold statline, hah, that was worth it
21:35
@AncientSwordRage oof
I've moved on, so it really wasn't too bad for me. I know that's not the case for everyone
21:57
How did the PbP go, @BardicWizard?
@AncientSwordRage still going
Pretty well, far as I can tell
nice!
I'm a little envious (in a good way, I'm happy for you) as I have a cthulhu mythos story I want to run myself
22:11
@AncientSwordRage Cthulhu mythos is both cool and horribly discriminatory
but pretty interesting as a concept
I do enjoy the myths I grew up with and especially el chupacabra
Which is kinda why theres a hybrid Cthulhu/Chupacabra thing there, since I read some of lovecraft’s works growing up
That's cool, I also read slot of his stuff growing up thought not all of it yet
I think my favourite is Whisperer in The Dark.
I’m pretty sure what I read was abridged. Little kids do not need to read some of that stuff.
And it was in the elementary school library school so actually I’m completely certain they were abridged versions or stories by others about some of the mythos creatures

Morning all
@AncientSwordRage [gets comfy with my cthulhu plushy and madness counter]
Some would say that I am an acolyte of Azathoth
@BardicWizard there's not much to abridge really
Ben
Ben
Well, not acolyte. Certainly not aspect or messenger. Maybe "plaything"? But even that would not really fit. Lol
23:12
We're having solar put in today... I can tell I'm not going to get much work done. Hard to concentrate when there are workmen using power tools on the other side of the roof & wall next to you.

Blades in the Dark group last night had a nice moment of "play to find out what happens". They were trying to get a new lair. They had permission from a gang boss to muscle in on a business that was behind on their payments and use part of their building. I was expecting they'd go there armed to the teeth and make a show of force.
Instead, they followed the plant manager for a while and found that he was paying his protection money to a different gang. So now it looks like they're going to make a show of force against those guys.
But what they end up doing is ambush the plant manager on his way home, throw him in the back of a van, and just extort him personally.

@MarkWells nice.

@MarkWells cut out the middle man lol
@Adeptus sweet though, in the end

Q: When the War Caster feat lets my Echo Knight fighter cast a spell instead of the Manifest Echo feature's opportunity attack, where is it cast from?

Medix2This question is inspired by the following one: Can an Echo Knight with the War Caster feat use cantrips for opportunity attacks made by their Echo? Part of the Echo Knight fighter's Manifest Echo feature states (EGtW, p. 183; emphasis mine): When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of yo...
