@NautArch I mean, I would be hesitant to make that statement personally. I don't think it would be beneficial necessarily to punish people following site guidelines just because only one person happens to be doing a lot of it (as long as they are doing it responsibly). I wouldn't want someone to not protect something obviously in need of it because they are worried that they have been protecting too many questions for example.
As long as we all understand the way the tool should be used after this, I think the number of users doing the protection shouldn't be something we force.
But maybe I'm missing something?
Anyways, I think the point you suggest could ideally be integrated into a larger answer, but you certainly could try to float that idea alone if you wanted.
My first questions to you would be: how could we possibly control who does what? and how much is too much? And what if nobody else is doing it?

@NautArch We let single users do most of the review queue tasks XD

@NautArch Were you thinking about when reviewing the 700, or for the normal operation afterwards?

@Someone_Evil oh good question! I took it to mean the latter. But I'd agree with the former!
Well a selection of that 700 we should go through together.

3:33 PM
Right, take some (representative) questions as case studies on meta. Then there'd be a community project which goes through the rest. I'd suggest they make a chat room (name idea: "The Protection Racket"), log their decisions in a spreadsheet (this is co-op. thing too), and take any sufficiently borderline things to meta
Did we ever rerun the query to include the questions unprotected after the SEDE update, btw?

Is table a common way to refer to a roleplaying group?

@AncientSwordRage yes, but can be confusing in certain situations

@AncientSwordRage Ive seen used to refer to the particular game itself.
Way ive understood it and used it, the same group playing different games would be two tables.

@AncientSwordRage I'm assuming that's off of my question, and that's pretty close to the meaning I'd intended. By "table" I mean a specific gaming group engaged in a specific, ongoing game (that's how I've seen the term used around here the most)

@Someone_Evil ok thats alright then, I have heard it used a few times

3:38 PM
Your edit to the title was a good one

@Upper_Case it was yes, for some reason I thought it was about how quick is it to look things up on a random table or the index or something X_X
@Upper_Case thanks, phew

Yeah, it's hard to get tables through adventure books, those covers tend to be quite hard

@AncientSwordRage That would be pretty interesting too, though maybe not for a question here. Slow lookup times is a significant drain on table-time, and it's not fun

@Someone_Evil Which query? XD

@Upper_Case lets table the table question then

3:40 PM
@Rubiksmoose The one you generated the spread sheet with?

@Someone_Evil You mean the list of unprotected questions on the site?

Sorry I just ran a bunch of queries and at least several spreadsheets dealing with the unprotection issue.

@Rubiksmoose how much better is the info you are getting as compared to the spread sheet I looked at a week ago?

@KorvinStarmast I answered it, then thought to myself, "what good can come of this" and deleted.

3:43 PM
@KorvinStarmast Well, the spreadsheet now has a lot more contextual information in it.

@ThomasMarkov yeah, good move.
@ThomasMarkov the meta I linked to in the comment is worth a read if you have not already

@Rubiksmoose Ok, let me try to cut to the concern: Are we sure the list in the spreadsheet is up to date, and that questions haven't been unprotected since the SEDE data they are based on (which is updated on sundays)

@Someone_Evil Ah, yes I am fairly certain. At the time I ran the query there was only 3 questions left protected on the entire site (even according to the query). So, there wasn't much left to update after that.

Neato!

All the questions were unprotected in a 2-3 hour period on 6/30 IIRC. So luckily they all happened in one SEDE-update period.

3:46 PM
Does a question called "What are the implications of making more spells able to be cast as rituals?" seem well scoped?

@AncientSwordRage I'd probably want a definition for "more spells"

@AncientSwordRage A. "More spells would be able to be cast as rituals" :p

@Medix2 So I'm going to ask for categories that would or would not be ttrouble
> I'm looking for categories (with non-exhaustive examples) of spells by their impact on being made ritual-castable. e.g. "Instantaneous Direct Damage spells - pointless, and no better for being cast as ritual. Healing Spells - Broken, as now anyone who has access never prepares these"

I think a curated list of spells youd like to make into rituals would be better.

@ThomasMarkov thats probably true

3:51 PM
but maybe that falls afoul of "one question per question"

@AncientSwordRage Are you interested in immediate, mechanical consequences (class X becomes more/less powerful), or broader gameplay consequences (the adventuring day will generally become longer and involve fewer encounters)?

I a) don't have a list and b) I'm sure there would be a pattern

You could ask it as "What are the ramifications of letting all spells be cast as rituals?" Though keep in mind that benefits certain characters and classes FAR more than others

@Upper_Case Those are quite closely tied, so I imagine both?

@Medix2 I imagine there'd be more surprise Fireballs.

3:53 PM
@Yuuki 'I didn't even prepare exploding runes today'

@AncientSwordRage I'm trying to think in terms of answer scope-- the former will be a longer, more intricate list (fireball ambushes, as per @yuuki's comment), while the latter will have to do with player choices (more people will take caster class levels and the ritual caster feat)

Ritual wish...

Eh, spell slot cost isn't the limiting factor for wish.

I think a question which seeks both types of answers will have more trouble staying scoped well while attracting good answers

Now for other 9th-level spells...

3:54 PM
@Upper_Case also quite true

@Yuuki Every single spell in the game takes only 10 minutes to cast now. That's strong to me

Wish normally takes one action.
True Resurrection on the other hand...

All spells? Including spells that normally have a 10 minute (or longer) casting time?

Yes and now can be reused, repeatedly. So a wizard can cast a 8th level Bard spell as many times as they want instead of just once

What would the impact be on spells with a concentration period for extra effects? Like for making True Polymorph permanent

3:56 PM
@Upper_Case Why would anything change?

I think maybe two questions would be good, but this is already sounding like more than I can sensibly word while also working

For some reason, it never occurred to me that wish only has a verbal component.

@Medix2 There could be some mechanical effects, but I"m thinking more in terms of combos based around spell slot preservation

Something that's probably telling is that most ritual spells are rarely cast non-ritually. Whereas any spell you add ritual to this cannot be the case

@Medix2 cannot be the case, without changing how it's used?

3:58 PM
@AncientSwordRage Any spell you add ritual casting too must have previously been often cast non-ritually

@Medix2 true, unless it's a rarely used spell

@Someone_Evil we're back to opinion based on the dragonlance question.

@Rubiksmoose Yeah, that's fine. It was more that the user seemed to double down rather than accept the idea that doing something massive like that was not a good call to make on their own.

@NautArch "I could add more info, but then i feel like iโ€™d be limiting the creativity of a potential answer, eventually i will answer myself after the bounty is gone if there is no answer." and "Thank you for your answer, in the caves i think there are a couple groups working together, providing why adventures might want to kill them beyond them just being generally evil will help improve this answer."
He's taken the opinion bits out of the question and just added them back to the comments.

@ThomasMarkov I guess flag?

4:01 PM
I am.

iugh. Is this really going to draw answers of one option at a time?
This is my problem with list questions.
They are usually partial answers

@NautArch We certainly noticed that and we are working on that via more private methods.

okay, i'll not post then :)

GcL
They're looking for the Dragonlance equivalent or substitute for orc and kobold?

@GcL I don't think so? They are alooking for all creatures that live in caves.
or, at least that's what the question says.

GcL
4:11 PM
I don't think I ever played DL for anything other than 2nd edition. Did it get a port?

@NautArch They are also looking for opinion based ideas about why the player characters might want to kill those creatures

@ThomasMarkov well, the question removed that, but it's in the bounty and in the comments.
but this may just trigger my personal crusade against list questions.

GcL
@ThomasMarkov So monster substitute plus most common cause of conflict with those creatures?

@NautArch I'm still annoyed that list question means two very different things...

@Medix2 what do you mean?

4:13 PM
If the bounty question were written as a top level question, we would close it as opinion based.

that we would

Ergo we should clear the bounty since it solicits answers to a question that isnโ€™t appropriate for the stack.

that i'm not sure of...meta it?

@NautArch "It's... Shorthand. For straw-polls, GTKYs, discussion threads and the like. Questions that are geared toward creating responses, not answers..." v.s. "Any question that asks for a list"
@NautArch A consensus probably wouldn't be reached in meaningful time?

@Medix2 Ah. I'm not sure I'm in total agreement. For me, a list question is a defined list of some size (bounded vs unbounded), but really all it is doing is asking for someone else to do a bunch of legwork.

4:16 PM
@NautArch Yeah and I know plenty of people who get upset when people think that that's what a list question is XD

@Medix2 Do you have an example?
But I stills tand by my point that if you're answering a list quesiton, that list should be complete.
Otherwise, it should be downvote city.

@NautArch Probably deleted comments but I'll go searching stuff from [user I know has said this]

Because then all you're doing is just putting up something you thought of and haven't answered the whole question. But i think i'm in the minority on this.

GcL
@NautArch I think I'd downvote L.A. based on the traffic alone, but that's just a problem endemic to many big cites... so probably not. I don't think there are many cities that I would downvote.

4:19 PM
In particular: "Since 2012ish โ€œlist questionโ€ has been outdated terminology; it's frequently misunderstood to mean questions answered with a bulleted list"

@GcL I second the L.A. downvote, but that's because i'm originally a NorCal kid.

There's just a disconnect between what Stack (in some way) defined "list question" to mean and what one would actually expect those words to mean.

GcL
@Medix2 My entire list for bulettes is: nope, nope, nope, climb a tree. I have a similar list for rhinoceros

@GcL one of my favorite monsters

@GcL My only 5e-dnd character death was to a Bulette from a bag of Magic Beans

GcL
4:22 PM
I do not enjoy the magic items of random <screw the plot>. Especially those in deck form.

@GcL Dont think so. Theyre asking for "an intriguing reason for them to be there and for adventurers to root them out." So I dont think "most common cause of conflict" is what theyre looking for.

@ThomasMarkov This still feels totally like "build this encounter for me"

It walks and quacks like a duck so...

GcL
I concur. It's not a simple question of module gives me X, how do I port those to Dragonlance, or find DL equivalents

I'm kinda surprised this is open, seems like it's just asking for any given individual's answer

4:27 PM
Technically not opinion based though.

@GcL and they are asking for monsters that will need to ported to 5e, too

But there's no way to say if any answer is better than any other. They're all correct

We've kinda dealt with that before
that's sort of okay depending on context
But that's where the list comes in and our general acceptance of incomplete lists.

GcL
How to deal with problem player of some variety are questions like that.

I thought "all answers are correct" was listed as a "Do Not Ask" type of Q, but perhaps I misremembered

4:28 PM
Heck, the current answer is really limited and includes an option that probably shouldn't be there.
@GcL a very good example

@GcL Hmm yeah fair. I guess the "this can only be answered by people who've done the module" is enough to make only some answers accurate

"How to deal with a problem campaign length" there i fixed it

GcL
I still think how long does it take is a crap question.

@Medix2 wait, which question are we talking about?

GcL
How to modify the length of a campaign is slightly better.

4:30 PM
@NautArch Oh sorry I switched over to the "How long does the starter kit module take" thing that somebody mentioned in a comment under a completely different question. I was just surprised to see is open

@Medix2 ah, I think that's a legit question for experience based answers.

@NautArch Yeah I'm thinking the inherent requirement of "you must have done this module" is enough of a requirement where not every single answer is correct

@Medix2 and you can discuss how much side stuff was done or if the party really focused on the main story.
there's a lot of good experience in this stack to answer those

It's just the type of question where I would upvote likely any answer it gets, which felt weird

@Medix2 still depends on quality of answer and the details to support.

4:33 PM
@NautArch Yeah I see that now. Think I made too fast a judgement because it just seemed a strange question to me

Q: Is a question asking about a specific list on topic or not?

L0neGamerThis question about spells that are on the ranger spell list and not on the druid one had some contention early on, but its voting has settled down now. Some were saying that it was easily researchable, while others were saying it was not and therefore valid. Is this bounded list question accept...

darn myself!

bro.
You played your self.

totally did :(

@NautArch I'm pretty sure the noise I just made could only be described as a cackle

@Medix2 Cackle Out Loud?

4:39 PM
But also, I've disagreed with my own posts before, it's a weird moment. The flip side is reading a post and going "oh my gosh yes!", and upvoting it only to see "you cannot vote on your own post"

I added a section.

I've posted an answer then read it a few hours later and thought, "what the hell was I doing? this makes no sense"

@ThomasMarkov I debated tidying up my old answers cuz some of them are poorly formatted based on what I've learned now but I don't think the edits are really necessary. While looking at those old answers there were certainly a few that I was surprised I wrote XD
@NautArch I just used "list question" to mean "a question that asks for a list", wow, today sure exists
Oh no, the Meta tag for list questions describes them as question that are answered by lists, I might just give up XD

With their update, I answered.
bring on the downvotes.
there is no good reason to not just use minotaurs
5

@NautArch good quotes to take out of context

4:57 PM
@NautArch youve got my +1

That was actually a really good clarification they added.
I still dislike the other answer because of how incomplete it is.

I mean, there are quite a few creatures that live in caves.

I already wrote an entire essay in the designated section about what's wrong with the metamagic feat, so please be gentle (or be positive to balance my comments out, lol)

I found a Wikipedia page on dragonlance bestiary, but i don't know how trustworthy it is. But this question really seems like they've done zero research.

5:02 PM
@NautArch also, relevant to your answer, pirates are known to spend time on land, and have bases on lands, and, you know, not generally spend their entire life at sea. and what's more iconic than a pirate cove

How should question protection be used on RPG.SE? has now been posted to Meta. Feel free to think about it and discuss! (and thank you for your patience)
5

@NautArch they said theyre going to post their own answer if the bounty expires.

@doppelgreener Yeah, I think I said that, too :) But this question is looking more and more like a lack of research.
All I searched for was dragonlance monsters and found a wiki that offers several suggestions.
But the dragonlance beastiary, at least from the wiki, seems pretty small.
I still don't get how an answer of "this dwarf that lives in cities" is a upvote.

@NautArch are you talking about Bestiary of Krynn?

The list of Dragonlance creatures attempts to list the races that can be found in the Dragonlance setting. == Dragons == According to the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, dragons are the original beings of Krynn, born from the world and the elements. The dragons of Krynn are distinguished from other dragons because they take active roles in the fate of the lesser races.The dragons of Dragonlance appear much as their counterparts in other Dungeons & Dragons worlds. === Chromatic Dragons === The chromatic dragons are red, white, green, black and blue varieties of dragons. They are evil an...
oh, that's just races.
duh.

5:06 PM
@NautArch i upvoted him for trying.

@ThomasMarkov Bah. Not a fan of incomplete list answers. Lazy.
If you don't want to put the effort in to supply the list, you shouldn't get rep.

@BESW A friend with ADHD says this is in fact called stimming. Stimming also comes up in autism in some more specific ways, but stimming is something everyone does to some extent (like drumming their fingers on the table) and this is stimming also.

@doppelgreener Guess it depends who you ask then since I've heard just the opposite...

@GcL Is the camp issue for dragonlance or 3.5?

@Medix2 I might start calling it backgrounding because I like it.
In my head anyways

GcL
5:11 PM
@NautArch dragonlance. The goblinoid races have a different dynamic. Similar to how it is in Eberron. At least, that's something I recall thinking when I first read the Eberron setting.

@GcL I think that's what OP is saying. The 3.5 module monsters don't fit. The list was from the original 3.5 and they are trying to use it in Dragonlance.
I mean, this feels like a read the book or workaround to buying the book.

GcL
@NautArch Yes. In addition to minotaurs and other stuff they didn't mention in their question.

@NautArch Well that's why I always post my incomplete lists with a wildcard "*" at the end so it technically is the most complete

It's like if I asked for a list of monsters that dwell in caves for 5e. It's partly why I dislike the list question.

GcL
I feel like I'd have to read that part of the module to get a list of all the monsters that need to be reworked.

5:13 PM
@Rubiksmoose hehe. But seriously, I think it's a problem.

@NautArch It definitely seems to be something that comes up somewhat regularly.

Not sure if it's worth revisiting, though. I know some folks disagree with me on it.

Though I'd be interested to see whether our bounded list questions eventually get a complete list in one answer or not. If the former, probably not a huge issue.

I asked about that earlier and was told they didn't have to

@Rubiksmoose I'm not even sure how to go back and check.
Moving some to community wiki is a workaround for it.
But it's still an ask of the community to do a lot of work. And for zero rep. All because someone else is too lazy.

5:16 PM
I sepcifically asked about whether questions with various answers listing single solutions should be combined into one answer listing all the solutions, and was told no

@NautArch I'm not sure CW is really a good solution to anything XD

@Rubiksmoose What you got against the CW?! THey have Michigan J. Frog!

Q: What does Detect Magic show for different Warlock special weapons?

WakiNadiVellirFor reference, Detect Magic snippet: you can use your action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic, and you learn its school of magic, if any. Warlocks have a few unique weapon options. I am interested in what exactly does Detect Magic show for t...

@ThomasMarkov Is that your usual practice?

no, not usually.

5:19 PM
@Rubiksmoose Probably worse when one user gets rep for the comments and work other users did :(

@Upper_Case I still think you can ask that module question :)

@Upper_Case I thought his answer was pretty decent in relation to how poor I think the question is. So I gave him a vote for taking a shot at it.
@HellSaint you around buddy?

@NautArch Anyone can ask anything. I'm not interested in a big struggle over it, which seems inescapable

My issue is he basically just gave one answer: Dwarf.

@ThomasMarkov just woke up

5:21 PM
@Upper_Case aight, you're call! I just think we can answer it and there are other questions answered that are identical.
I mean, I can't personally because I haven't run it.

@NautArch Again, I'm aware that there exist many similar questions and I think that it is anwerable (or at least could garner some interesting responses from the experience of users here). This particular one got some intense pushback, and I don't really want to deal with the stream of resistance; other users may have different experiences and preferences

okeydoke, i'll let it lie.

@HellSaint After reading you answer on the goat wildhsape question I had this image in my mind of a couple skeletons checking wikipedia on their smartphones to verify the goats behavior.

I'll go back to fighting my fight against incomplete list answers.

@ThomasMarkov I wouldn't refer to DMs as that, but you do you
Kappa

5:26 PM
@HellSaint i dont understand

It was a joke saying that the DMs were the ones looking for goat behavior (as they would be the ones mostly interested in that), and that you have called them/imagined them as skeletons

This whole protection thing has me thinking how effective users being able to protect questions even is

oh, no, OP said the monsters they were baiting were skeletons

@NautArch XD And my only access to Pokemon and Yugioh as a kid! Wait, I must be thinking of something else?

@ThomasMarkov Thank you for changing that spelling. Very different.

5:28 PM
@Medix2 Deliciously unknowable, me thinks

@NautArch definitely an accident lol

@Someone_Evil Yeah I'm tempted to agree. There are just some weird feature requests like completely removing the ability for non-diamonds to protect things

@HellSaint Here's Chris Perkins DMing at one of the PAX events :P

ah no I'm not crazy
> Kids' WB was an American children's television programming block and brand owned by Warner Bros. Television that first aired on September 9, 1995, on The WB Television Network[2]. On January 24, 2006 it was announced The WB and CBS Corporation's UPN would merge to create The CW[3]. When The WB closed on September 17 that year, the block moved to the new channel and it ran there from September 23, 2006 to May 17, 2008, at which time The CW4Kids was launched to replace it.

Yeah, the earliest I remember the CW was when they started coming out with those teen dramas around high school.

5:35 PM
@ThomasMarkov yeah I know but the joke doesn't care about facts

Kids WB was the best tbh.

Someday I'll stop reading CW as Colonial Williamsburg XD

@Medix2 ive got to stop reading it as a crude insult common to british english vernacular.

5:56 PM
@ThomasMarkov Pokemon, yugioh, Digimon. Yeah it was great.

6:29 PM
@Rubiksmoose Argh, that bounty question seems to have gone further into opinion territory. I give up.

@NautArch In my estimation, having a bounty shouldnt mean we apply different standards. The question should be closed. Ill work on a meta post if I have time, but feel free to do one of your own.

We are looking at it now. I'm having computer issues. One of my userscripts is acting up.

@Rubiksmoose kill it!
oh, user script!

@ThomasMarkov I don't think a Meta post could come to any sort of consensus in a reasonable amount of time since the bounty ends soon enough. It'd be interesting for if this ever happens again though

@Medix2 I certainly agree.
My intent was to ask broadly something like "do the question standards we uphold apply in the same way to bounty descriptions?"

6:42 PM
@NautArch I'm not sure whether you mean the question, my computer, or the script XD
I would prefer not to kill my computer though.

yeah, the script. sure. the script.

lol

@ThomasMarkov I think the standards still apply just sometimes they can't be applied without getting diamond mods (though closing is the only case I know of where bountied questions act weird; you can't bounty a closed question and you can't close a bountied question)

@kviiri Rats, my own 13th age game just fell apart. Totally fine, but just a bummer to not have a second campaign going of my own.

7:04 PM
@ThomasMarkov No meta needed, unless someone has an objection to the action anyways I think.

7:51 PM
@NautArch Sancho says Don Quixote, here is your lance. ๐Ÿšฉ
@NautArch I have played in that module, and run it, and I'm not wasting my time to answer that question even if it reopens. My only answer would be 'just do it and quit farting around' - but I am having a very grumpy grognard kind of day today. Dental work does that to me.
@Medix2 true enough
@ThomasMarkov and you have my axe ...
@doppelgreener indeed, but I just realized that 'cove' is a Brit slang word for something, and it's driving me nuts trying to remember what it is ... or is that Aussie slang?
@NautArch Sancho has your back ... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

8:17 PM
Should I warn the folks at the windmill?

@KorvinStarmast urbandictionary tells me it's scottish slang for "dude" or "fellow" or "guy"
and Collins dictionary backs it up

8:29 PM
@NautArch I forgot that tunnel fighter lets you make the AoO without using your reaction. Seems question is dupe though.

Q: What is the AC equivalent of mirror image?

AnagkaiIt is suggested (by the DMG) to account for defensive options by assuming increased AC, e.g. +2 AC for magic resistance. I would like to give some of my monsters the spell mirror image as part of a spellcasting / innate spellcasting trait. There is precedence for this: the Alhoon, the Faerie Drag...

8:40 PM
@doppelgreener Ok, thanks.
@Someone_Evil Tell them to take the day off, Don Quixote is charging in another direction.

@KorvinStarmast I still think it's kind of weird that the sorcerer has no bonus to AC in light armor compared to no armor.

@NautArch Close Quarters Shooter is an odd one too. Seems too powerful to me. Its a portion of Crossbow Expert, Sharpshooter, and the archery fighting style rolled into one fighting style.

@ThomasMarkov Is that one of the new ones?

@NautArch its the fighting style from the same UA as tunnel fighter

Honestly, I"ve stopped looking at new stuff. I'm really not happy with the direction.

8:53 PM
You are trained in making ranged attacks at close
quarters. When making a ranged attack while you
are within 5 feet of a hostile creature, you do not
have disadvantage on the attack roll. Your ranged
attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover
against targets within 30 feet of you. Finally, you
have a +1 bonus to attack rolls on ranged attacks.

Q: Overcoming flour or other nonmagical ways to defeat invisibility

InterstellarProbeI am looking for ideas on how to defeat a flour trap. As a rogue, I rely on sneak attack to really damage my foes. The plan for taking on the BBEG is the party will make me invisible with our wand of Greater Invisibility. However, I know the enemy has set up several flour traps and uses telekines...

@ThomasMarkov ah, yeah. That stuff is no bueno.

@Upper_Case hey friend

@ThomasMarkov Hello

@NautArch call it a 13th age quirk, I guess?
And the new UA is mostly a hot mess.

9:02 PM
@KorvinStarmast heh, i mean, it still isn't bad. I think I'll still be decent in close quarters. AC is 15 with no armor or shield.

@NautArch I should have a chant or a battle cry that can help you with that also ...
...I owe kviiri my updated char sheet and icon stuff. Note for when I get home.

Yeah, I've got to update mine a bit more. I think I"m still missing some stuff. Debating on rolling for gold or just taking the average. I'll probably roll.
i'm a gambler, after all!

I think I rolled and got 40.

head to the backroom?

10:06 PM
@ThomasMarkov That's... whaaaaa? L1 variant human with +8 to their bow attacks that ignore cover? (Not even assuming point-buy, there, just standard array.)

10:22 PM
Yeah itโ€™s busted.

Ordoalea Publishing wrote a twitter thread about designing Domains HRS so that iterative modules don't conflict with each other.

I circumvented the daily rep cap today. Will that get recalculated later?

Circumvented how?

I was at 215 (200 conventional rep + 15 for an accept).
i got a down vote for -2 putting me at 213.
I got an upvote putting me back to 215.
Then that downvote got changed to an upvote and now Iโ€™m at 217.

@ThomasMarkov No, you'll just get banned for life.

@ThomasMarkov This appears to be a visual bug in the dropdown menu and probably isn't reflected in your actual reputation.

If you check the reputation page you can see for sure what happened.

It used to be an actual thing that downvote reversals ignored the rep cap, but this was unintentional and got fixed in, like, 2012 or something.
