Discord RPG Jam hosted by Lucian Kahn. We’re already playing RPGs & chatting with our game friends on Discord, why not make some RPGs specifically designed to play on Discord?

I guess there should be a warning: that comic ^^ acknowledges the existence of sex.

It acknowledges the existence of many different things.
Anyway, good night from my part of the world.

Q: Can a College of Swords bard use Blade Flourishes multiple times in a turn?

David CoffronBards of the College of Swords have a feature called Blade Flourish that lets them use their Bardic Inspiration to add a modifier to their Attack action (XGtE, p. 15): Whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, your walking speed increases by 10 feet until the end of the turn, and if a...

Q: Does the Shapechange spell allow one to use Innate Spellcasting of the creature they turned into?

SdjzThe shapechange spell states that one does not get access to the Spellcasting trait of creatures they turn into: You transform into an average example of that creature, one without any class levels or the Spellcasting trait. Does this restriction include monsters with Innate Spellcasting, o...

Q: Can you use Shapechange with character feats to Grapple the Tarrasque?

MicahAfter I had read the Monster Manual's Tarrasque entry, I began thinking of ways to kill it. The first thing that came to mind is for 1 party member to become a creature that is Huge in size, then grapple the Tarrasque while other members of the party attacked it. My idea is to have a Level 20 Va...

MrHiTechThe Iron Defender's stat block for the Battle Smith Artificer (from Unearthed Arcana: The Artificer Returns), under "hit points" says the following: equal to five times your level in this class + your Intelligence modifier + the Iron Defender’s Constitution modifier I could read this two w...

She noted that the word has another meaning, "which won't be covered here at school". I guess she went to the school in a very distant past, herself, because we had ample and decent sex-ed.

I feel like that's wasted on D&D
Though to be fair you can just use it for other stuff too I guess?
Unless it's got D&D rules built into it?

seems like it will include stats and that for use with D&D, but it's not as if you can't use it as inspiration or reference for anything else

Q: Persuasion, Insight, and Deception used against PCs

VeltowerYesterday, I was in a D&D 5E group. Today, I am not. We were playing Out of the Abyss, but that's redundant to my issue, I think. Basically, the DM and I are interpreting Insight differently. He believes insight is used to determine if you believe someone or not; i.e. "Roll high, you can tell i...

But I'll get it, ... It's just real annoying that I can't use it right now
One thing that's definitely still better about actual books

CodexSimple premise: If I cast simulacrum on an entity that has a contingency spell cast on it, does that contingency transfer to the simulacrum?
