Waterdeep is a huge city, with lots of magic shops, guards, guilds, opportunities and dangers. The most (in)famous thing in the city is a ginormous dungeon called Undermountain, created and mantained by a wizard gone mad
MMMh I have no idea. First time I embark into something like this
Ellipsis is three periods in a row (originally with spaces between, more recently without), and it is also the omission of a thing--a word or phrase that is necessary for grammar but can be inferred, or an unnecessary scene in a film, or the like.
Ellipses is the plural of ellipsis and of ellipse (a kind of closed curve more commonly known as an oval).
Speaking of maps, I just got one of my players to help me with mapping using Fractal Mapper. It's great. I feel more appreciated when my players actually want to help me out.
Fractal Mapper has one flaw though. If I define a view area on my machine, it'll be different on his, since it doesn't take resolution into account when displaying.
@Zachiel Ok so only do stats and skills and the like. What kind of rolls do you use for str, dex and such? I am used to rolling 6 sets of 4 D6 dice and adding the top three together and re rolling any 1s.
Homunculus
At fourth level Artificers may craft a homunculus companion. A homunculus is similar to a Wizard's familiar but more intelligent and generally better equipped to a single task.
I think there's a Craft Construct feat as well, so it's open to most, but Artificer does it good I think, and is part of the core Eberron setting. :)
Though introduced as a prestige class for gnome arcane spellcasters in the Magic of Faerûn, artificers are a standalone class in the Eberron campaign setting. Artificers are heavily written into the Eberron world with their own Dragonmarked house (House Cannith). The common people in the metropolis of Sharn and other Eberron cities rely heavily on artificers to maintain the magical infrastructure. Artificers represent many of the high-magic elements of Eberron as a campaign setting.
It's a supporting character class, you can read about it here.
Anyways, Dungeon/Game Master decides, I just wanted to pitch in. :)
Well, if you don't get more players, you should definitely allow him to get a golem/homunculus or similar. Even a quite powerful one. Not going to be easy balancing for a single player. :)
@waxeagle You can get is on the PS3 now on PSN I have FF 8 and 9 already. I was asking because I was just watching an AMV and saw what looked like an FF7 anime
Already looking for this on my own but just in case: anyone here knows of an actual play podcast of 13th Age? One that gives a sense of the mechanics, especially the ones that differ from other systems. Alternatively, play-by-post or mechanically-detailed session reports could work too.
Provided your target fails his saving throw, the description of Lesser Geas states that it lasts until the target completes its specified objective or, should the task not have a definite end to it, 1 day per caster level. It does not, however, say that the caster level limit takes priority over ...
