anyone here knows how to delete old windows installation by deleting windows folder instead of deleting the windows partition itself? I am in another new windows installation in the same hard disk and I am getting permission error. @Leathe It is is a completely different partition than my active windows and it(the folder I wish to delete) is named "Windows". AFAIK windows.old is formed when you initiate a windows installation from within another windows installation and in that case windows will backup the current installation in windows.old...I find zillions of solutions for deleting windows.old in google search. But those tricks don't work in my case.
@Leathe It is a fairly big partition and I have lots of my data in it and I currently am running out of space and don't have a spare external disk with as much space needed. So deleting the entire partition is out of question

@Bob They have my data, I'm sure they can search through it if they wanted. Maybe only some program does it to calculate which porn I like, but maybe some bored admin also does the same on weekends to see what kind of crazy people use their service

I mean if you didn't have physical access but you did have the admin password (obtained legally because you own the device), that's one thing
well if I recall correctly, modern Windows wireless drivers implement a generic hardware abstraction layer interface, and Windows itself (Microsoft) provides the WPA supplicant
you have to go back to like Windows XP to see where that wasn't the case
