Just built a pc but have no display. Fans & lights run. No beeps. The motherboard has a 7 segment display, but it does not light up at all.

Do i need to activate the light or is something required for it?

I mean is anything required to use the 7 segment display, or do i have something miswired for it to not be lit at all

so I would suspect you would start by checking on the PSU connections

All the connections seem okay

My case has a SATA 12v for some reason. Maybe ill try connecting that

Without a cooler (and presumably a fan) it may refuse to start up as a safety thing

Can I use SATA 3.0 cables with older CD drives? Looking at this post: superuser.com/questions/412154/… It sounds like they all work the same, just want to make sure I understand correctly

I took out a CD drive from a very old computer. Seems to be working but not detecting the CD

Nevermind I tried a different CD and it works. All good

I wonder if Xiaomi Redmi AC2100 is good...
