@bwDraco hell, you guys can share, if you agree on a container/virt tech to use and stick with it (to avoid conflicts with bridges and such).... would recommend LXD because Bob and I can help with config
even if you don't intend to use it now, @ThatBrazilianGuy can configure it so that all his meaningful workloads go under LXD, so if you change your mind later and want a piece of the server, he can make a container for you
@ThatBrazilianGuy either paste your SSH pubkey in here, or register on Matrix and join our channel and PM me... I probably need to PM you the IP address anyway.
I'll just preface the question by apologising if it's worded poorly or this is the wrong site for it. I've recently been put in quite a difficult situation and was wondering what legal options there are for someone in this position;
I've been dismissed by a company I was due to start a job with,...
@bwDraco the reduction in endurance per cell is probably somewhat made up for by having many more of them once you start getting into the 8 TB range (or at least cheaper 4 TB)
with TLC 4 TB the endurance is high enough for common consumer workloads (where you're not wiping the entire drive every week, or even every month) that the general consensus is "you don't have to worry about endurance, period"
because the capacity is just so high, you have so many cells to work with
if QLC sacrifices some endurance for much reduced cost I'll still probably go for it... in high capacities
Also, color management can be tricky. I'd prefer that all my games run on my primary monitor (for compatibility reasons), so I'd rather not have to reassign that. Some All of the color-managed programs I use are set up to rely on the "system" color profile, which may get confused if the program is running on something other than the primary monitor.
If I tell said color-managed programs to use a specific profile, they would have to be reconfigured every time a new profile is generated.
Yunnan Baiyao (or Yunnan Paiyao; simplified Chinese: 云南白药; traditional Chinese: 雲南白藥; pinyin: Yúnnán Báiyào; literally: "Yunnan White Drug") is a hemostatic powdered medicine famous for being carried by the Vietcong to stop bleeding during the Vietnam War. The medicine, developed by Qu Huangzhang in 1902, is designated as one of two Class-1 protected traditional medicines, which gives it 20 years protection. In China, its reputation is equal to that of penicillin in the U.S. It is founded and manufactured by a state-owned enterprise, Yunnan Baiyao Group (SZSE: 000538) in Yunnan, China.

another way of looking at it, with a /9 the last two octets of the network address must be 0. the second octet must be either a 0 or 128 (a 00000000 or 10000000)
any variation of the less significant bits are IP addresses inside a/9 subnet identified by the most significant 9 bits
@djsmiley2k if you want a range that covers all of them with no "gaps"...
@Bob Well we have /16 and I think it's crazy and immense and who needs it all and admins get lazy and hand IPs like it's 1994... So who the hell owns a /9 and what for I can't even visualize it
@rahuldottech Dunno about other places but here not having FB and WhatsApp accounts is like social suicide.
Everyone talks to each other via WhatsApp, and I mean everyone, people don't email each other at work (unless it's for a boss or something), they sand WhatsApp messages, families don't text use WhatsApp
And Facebook is for keeping tabs on what's going on with acquaintances.
People don't call others to invite for social activities, they post on Facebook. At least it's my experience.
Or maybe no one actually likes me and I'm an IRL NPC. Who knows.
@Bob What I reeeeeeally hate is the need to have a phone on at all times to use WhatsApp. And the need to give your phone number out to others. And you move cities and how do you keep your "username". And...
AAAAAH WHATSAPP SUCKS ABOUT NEARLY EVERYTHING.
OH how could I forget. WhatsApp storage is your phone storage.
And the storage. Phones in a third world country are comparatively MUCH more expensive and objetively have shitty specs, including storage.
Guess what is also super ultra common on third world countries? IM chains with videos and gifs and images and good morning messages with gifs and videos and famili groups with gifs and videos and... you get the idea.
A friend kept sending me prospective freelancing clients who, like every other Brazilian, seem to only be able to converse via whatsapp. So I bought a new SIM chip and registered it and used it to talk business, running on an emulated android on my PC.
But I forgot to periodically turn on the actual phone and ended up losing the number.
@JourneymanGeek Well. Yeah. Good luck doing that in Brazil. It's like saying we're a restaurant and no more landline phones, or like saying we're a TV network and no more advertising.

Can I get a definitive answer on the migration of my TempleOS questions?
That's what the Stack Exchange employee wants to do, and I'd rather not ask them here because it's somewhat disrespectful to those that took part answering them.
