(since I wanted to use this emulator and keep Hyper-V available, I had to make Android Studio work with Microsoft's Android emulator, which was a real ride)
@Bob Microsoft calls it second-level address translation. Intel calls it Extended Page Tables. AMD calls it Rapid Virtualization Indexing. VirtualBox calls it nested paging. In all cases, page tables in the processor are extended so that a VM can effectively nest its page table inside the host OS's page table.
@JourneymanGeek Ah, I think I may have found the problem:

Picked up a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 enthusiast compact camera and a Peak Design Everyday Messenger 15" bag.
(the latter was funded on Kickstarter FWIW, going on to become the highest funded bag ever on the crowdfunding site)
The FZ1000, despite having been released almost four years ago and nominally succeeded by the FZ2000/FZ2500, is still around, positioned as a step down from the new model.
It's a fantastic deal at this point, and Panasonic is even offering it in the US with a free extended warranty (three years) if you buy it by March 31.
This camera rivals my DSLR in complexity and feature set so I'll need quite some time learning it. It's noticeably worse in low light than my Pentax K-3 II, but far better than my old Nikon S9900. The trade-off is a much larger, DSLR-like form factor. Heck, it has a hot shoe which takes (Micro) Four Thirds flash units!
This is clearly off-topic for Movies & TV. Voting to close regardless of the baffling upvotes. — WakeDemons311 hours ago
@Deepak I have an explanation for that (though it's speculation, I have no evidence). It's because 'evolution' is a translation of the word used in the original Japanese games which was shinka - meaning evolution. The reason the Japanese game used the word 'shinka' is because the word for metamorphosis is hentai, which has a double meaning of 'pervert' and loans its name to a variety of sexual manga often classified as pornography, so it's clear why they'd want to avoid that word. — Pharap5 hours ago
What I used to do is always keep comments that are somewhat on-topic and informative, and delete/archive the rest. But it's quite a bit of manual work.
Looks like I've only scratched the surface on this camera's Wi-Fi capabilities. It's actually possible to have it connect to your home Wi-Fi network and your computer can access it as a network share.
I'm a network admin at work, and in some circumstances peoples names as used as identifiers for rules, maybe for DHCP, or firewall rules to explain why a rule exists.

I have a kiosk system which shows information. When I want to change its configuration, I log into it via RDP, which of course logs off the user that is shown on the kiosk monitor.
When I am done editing, I usually reboot the system so that it can log in with the kiosk user automatically, but r...
A bit tricky due to the need to enter computer name and credentials on the camera as well as for a shared folder on your system which the camera can access.
I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 in a workgroup, not a domain, and I want to create a local account that is only used for allowing other computers in the same workgroup to access file shares on that server.
When clients connect they will be prompted for a username/password (hopefully) and this...

Just got a @panasonic @LumixUSA FZ1000. This camera can send photos to *network shares* over Wi-Fi.
I can specify a computer name and logon credentials on the camera, and it'll send pictures to a shared folder of my choice on my PC as I shoot.
Wow. Just wow. #MindBlown
