Also, I never enable legacy mode. Either classic BIOS firmware on old stuff (core2 era), or EFI only. Saves a lot of headaches

First day I got this PC anything using 3D acceleration crashed the PC, so I brought it back to the store and first thing they tried was putting in a "better" PSU. Twice the power, but noisy as hell. It turned out to be a defective graphic card but the shop owner gifted me with the "better" PSU

just install the driver used on XP in compatibility mode

that's what I did for my laptop when I upgraded to 7

might be easier than searching for an 8.1 driver, which probably (like me and a 7 driver for my graphics card) won't work anyway

under the Vista section there is a driver
