One for example, is different resizing algorithms (nearest neighbor, bilinear, trilinear, tent filter, etc), another is anti aliasing, which has similar features, and another is FXAA which is a dynamic softening filter deliberately used to soften jaggy/blocky edges without using much computational power, and it works really well

there are some pretty good hackintosh communities out there already though; if you're not already banned from them, I'd suggest making an account on one of them and using that community to build out a hackintosh

you might want to start with a VM first as it's less effort and less risky than messing with your physical OS
