I'm going on memory now, but I think I have three partitions of somewhat equal size on a 29 GB disk? I hope I'm not messing with the measurement units here. So it's about 4.5 GB of temp data cleaned after a pair of months since last time. No program has been installed since then, save for the one that comes with the GSM system of my dad's car. @Ramhound Got the snapshot. As expected a good portion of the occupied space, now that I cleaned, is games I still want to finish and never bothered to uninstall.
I don't understand the 200$ surcharge for bigger storage by 128 gigs. For 220$ you could get 500gb samsung EVO, which might be quite slower than non-sata apple's ssd. But still it is more than 2 times expensive than normally. I haven't observed any other difference between 128 and 256gb versions ...
Before I cleaned up yesterday, it was over 77 GB - I doubt I will be able to find out what was there yesterday, but I'd like to monitor when the situation worsens again
Check your browsers settings, verify how long and how much they will keep, before they get rid of stuff. Without more specific information on what you deleted, can't suggest any mitigation steps, doubt anyone else could either.

Yes; System Restore would be 10GB + 40GB = 50GB/80GB You add temporary files created by programs when they are launched on the desktop. Determine how to set the size of the browser cache.
