Battlefield 4 is going to use a low-level rendering API in the new AMD graphics cards/drivers called "Mantle", which doesn't use Direct3d or OpenGL at all, it calls into a low level, proprietary, AMD-specific API for maximum performance

granted BF4 will also support Direct3D, but you already know how well it's going to run on a Titan or a GTX 780

I know :D LucidLogix Virtu MVP 4.0 (or whatever the next version is) needs to be able to switch between an Nvidia and an AMD discrete card at runtime... so, you buy a GTX 780 and a Radeon R9-290X; you plug your displays into the motherboard; and then you have a shell plugin on your desktop to set each desktop shortcut as "run on AMD" or "run on Nvidia"

for extra effect, apply a green or red tint to the icon depending on which you selected

BF4 -> red; Bioshock Infinite -> green; etc

So we have a couple of PHP scripts that run every 5 minutes to do some maintenance tasks on websites. And, okay, I guess there are too many connections to the MySQL database

one thing you can do is rule out things like the file descriptor limit on your system, by increasing the fd limit (remember, it can also be per-user!), and increase the connection limit for mysql

gravity would be applied on it in some small amount, so yes, it would be moving in some frame of reference

but in a vacuum it wouldn't be bound by laws of thermodynamic temperature/pressure to move to reach equilibrium
