If I keep opening new tabs in incognito windows in Chrome, eventually the request goes through. It doesn't work if I keep opening the tab in a normal Chrome window.

@djsmiley2k The source code is all gitified, the prod code is all scripted and dockerized, and the content was inexistent, so all is fine. (I'll have to recreate a handful user accounts). We'll very surely implement a file and db backup at another location as the next thing we'll do.

I have some urls, which display a page, which creates a graph (on the same page). I then have to take a screenshot of said graph and insert it into a word document.

Trends in computing.

I keep hearing about the cloud and everything as a service, and people are moving away from traditional computing systems.

It looks like the big theme is that people are caring less about the hardware they're using and more about the experiences they can get. If X device can run Netflix/browse the web/run office apps/play game ABC/etc., the specific hardware used isn't truly relevant anymore. What matters is that they can get that experience wherever they want.

@bwDraco I tend to refer to that as machines becoming appliances

and well

most people are happy with their walled gardens and not having to worry about the little things

People care about being able to do what they need to do and nothing more.

Don't we all? ;p

Just that we need/want to do more

Enthusiasts like us will always be there, and high-end gaming machines are actually a growing segment. But for the average consumer, specific hardware specs and features are becoming irrelevant.

What I'm seeing is, "this machine has a 7th Gen Core i3 processor, great, it'll handle 4K Netflix."

It's no longer a matter of "device must support features 1, 2, and 3, CPU has clock frequency of at least 1.5 GHz, system has at least 4 GB memory, hard drive/SSD has at least 10 GB free, blah blah blah".

Anyone know how to get the error code from the Printing_admin_scripts as a variable, without editing the original script? %ERRORLEVEL% always seems to return 0

They said they have too many customers and not enough IPs so they NAT their customers, wtf? Can they really do this, what c...
