I've been reading an old Windows device drivers book (the only one I could find), what is the relationship between drivers and services? Do all drivers come with a service? Or is a driver automatically expected act as something like an MTA COM server?

This site isn't really targeted at programming per se but there really isn't a whole lot on SO as far as Windows kernel stuff goes.

I had a good laugh trying to search for driver related information though. Search for "Driver Services" and you get the DMV (it's hard to convince Google that I'm not looking to renew my driver's license), search for "Universal Drivers" on amazon and you get screwdriver handles, search for "Universal Windows Drivers" on amazon and you get car door window motors.
