A very very hard problem.
Why would you need a case if you have a thing that stops it getting dropped, right?
And nowhere do they show, document, or display the device actually being attached or detached.

I suspect that the finger loop mechanism would need to have some thought put into the padding of it, silicon softness or something. Those are pretty sensitive (lots of nerves per sq in) , and usefull appendages to have something digging into them, or slightly cutting off circulations.
Huh. Wow. They seem pretty robust these days... didn't break until the 4th hit, and no cracks till the 5th
Bob
Bob
@kerbalspacebecky You have no idea how hard they're hitting, though.
oh it's annoying-voice-guy again
@Bob Well, you can see how hard they're hitting it
But in practice, my S3 cracked from falling from my table and hitting my chair leg, and my S4 cracked while dropped from waist height while walking
most of his tests show amazing resilliance, but the tests are also so unrealistic, yet well standardised. Take "dropping a screw" off of any device your dissasembling, what is the minimum ammount of bounces that screw will incurr before finnaly rolling under the last thing you will expect to find it?
I've not actually done either with my S5 or S6, ironically, but my S2 survived falling from head height while cycling onto concrete, so...
17:36
Take the times you have ever dropped anything, how many bounces off first your own hands, then some items anywhere in the vicinity (even if there is clear space for 20 Feet) then always landing jelly side down.

Not bad. I have a couple rolls of that tape, it's pretty cheap. Easy to replace.

@kerbalspacebecky Accurately represented.

18:22

@Jonno Hmm. I don't want to be accurately represented in accident statistics. I'd rather be underrepresented or not represented at all.
@kerbalspacebecky I'd rather be over represented, surely? Then there actually less chance of you having an accident than the representation :P

trouts @Dave around a bit with a large @Dave!
19:19
@kerbalspacebecky If they say (over represented) that 50% of people have an accident in your age group, but actually it's only 20%, your chances of having an accident just dropped by 2.5x. If you're under represented, they say 20% have an accident but actually 50% do, you just ended up 2.5x more likely to have an accident than you were initially told. Or something, I dunno, 2am here. Just don't have a damn accident.
@Jonno No, if they say over-represented they mean 50% of all people have an accident but your age group is 80%.
If your age group is underrepresented that means if 50% of all people have accidents, only 20% of people in your age group have accidents.
@kerbalspacebecky Ah right. Don't have an accident then.
@Jonno I'm not planning on it :-P
Then again, 53% of people involved in accidents aren't wearing a helmet because they weren't expecting to be in an accident >_>
Based on what you've just said, I'd say your best bets are to remain vertical.
Nowhere's safe. Keep your helmet on at all times.
Even the thumbnail makes me cringe

Q: Windows 10 Start menu, notification center, store apps not working

TeunissenStefanEverything in Windows 10 worked perfectly for just 3 or 4 days after upgrading from 8.1. Yesterday I wanted to use the search feature, so I press win+s and get the error "Critical Error: Your Start menu isn't working. We'll try to fix it the next time you sign in." (I also can't open the setting...

sigh
Now I need to rebuild the Start menu.
At least Cortana works...
20:17
Did this but in a WinRE command prompt instead of creating a new account. You will lose your Start menu tiles if you do this. Reboot the machine, run ` Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}` in PowerShell, reboot again, and all should be back to normal. — bwDraco 1 min ago
