I was trying to roll back that question... and take away the possible duplicate area, and it didn't work out very well since I have auto reload setup on the tab I was using... LOL!
A particular user was trying to post a problem that he had about migration of questions, and it would seem that he is not able to login. Why is this so?
The user in question has amassed closed to 1k in rep, so I would assume that he should be able to post to meta, instead - while trying to subm...
Something I am curious about with Sara's question though. How is she asking about a SATA/IDE/SCSI drive when in the question she states the following... "Now I have a USB 3 7200 RPM drive, it's connected to a USB 3 port and is really fast. Is there a way to create a swap file on that drive?"
That part is confusing me.
In her racial slur comment, she states that she is asking about the SATA/IDE/SCSI drive
I thought I would create a PBX here and give everyone in my family an account... been planning on that for years, but never got around to it.... and set up the voip account so we can all do internal calls, then, if it needs to, connect to my voip server for external...
@bckbck Meh - piece of cake - I have an asterisk PBX on one site with a few phones, an ATA on the landline and an extension at another location so we can make house-house calls. (Non-Indian Asterisk Pro) - oh, and we can call in/out via laptops
Where I used to work we had an Asterisk PBX for the entire building and I had an extension at home and used to work at home occasionally with no-one realising I wasn't in the office when they called my extension.
@Linker3000 Well, it is a bit annoying as I set up all the ports, and internally it is great... but, for my dad, we needed to use the 3cx proxy service, which I don't really understand... with all the ports, isn't it just a standard sip line :/ ... Anyway, I may look at asterisk - just confusing with all the different versions (asterisk/trixbox/pro/free/community etc.)
nice! that is the sort of thing I want to be able to do... ideally, we can all ring each other, then, in addition, I want to configure rules so only 01/02/03 numbers (the free ones on my contract!) are allowed out...
I have worked it out on 3CX... but need more speed to test it more!
@JourneymanGeek I write so many answers, I don't remember older ones! Well... I have never used Clonezilla for two local drives, only network jobs... write it down as an answer and ill +1 you!
@WilliamHilsum Have a look at PBX in a Flash (based on Asterisk) as it has a good user interface (FreePBX) that makes call routing control fairly straightforward. pbxinaflash.net
@Linker3000 Will do, thanks... It is just annoying that so many of these free solutions look good, then you look at the restrictions and realise that many of the good features are in the pay version!
hehe, I think 3CX wants me to use them... downloading PBX in a Flash, and this is the download page...
targeted/cookie advertising is scary!
I have to say, I think 3CX is amazing software and it isn't that expensive... but... all I want to do is communicate with family! I don't need meeting rooms and half the other features it provides! ... Just need a few extra simultaneous lines!
... I just wish I was better at Linux, I have a "working knowledge" but still feel uneasy about trusting it... especially when I have account details/something that will cost me money if it goes wrong
...but I am going to try it now, thanks for this, I have downloaded the asterisk community edition, trixbox, an older version of asterisk at home and more! Had no idea what is best... but will be checking this first
I remember a few years ago when I was looking at Asterisk, they were so unfriendly/unhelpful... their site was saying things like "This is a professional VOIP solution, if you are comfortable, use asterisk@home" etc.... looks like they must of lost business or something, they are now showing user friendly versions
... well, I mean they said it a bit stricter than that!
... downloading that as well, and looking, I must of missed that earlier
see switchvox as well with a free version!!!
Is there a list somewhere that just compares them all? ... right now though, unless one blows me away, it is between 3cx and PBX in a flash.
I've grabbed these from the recycling skip - all the connectors are moulded but I could make up some useful adaptors by snipping them off with a full length of wire attached.
8x red phono, 8x white phono, 1 pair red/white XLR female, 1 pair white/black BNC and 2 x 5-pin DIN. Apparently we don't buy enough at a time for the manufacturer to unbundle the leads for us.
In our product documentation it is written that "If your local security measures require, you can change the user account and password under which the main Server services run. You must ha`ve Administrator privileges to change the service account. Note that the main Server services cannot run us...
Local system is one of the few built in groups.
Anything that runs as system has full local control over your computer and can do anything/everything they want to.
So as for your questions (I think).
Q: When i did a search i came to know that LocalSystem service can do things that would bring ...
Oh yes. "I WAS AT 745.607 FLAG WEIGHT AND A STUPID MOD VOTES A FLAG WRONG SO NOW I DONT GET BADGE WHY?! I FLAG GOOD FOR ALL POSTS AND NOW YOU RUIN IT!"
@BloodPhilia define really!? I did say that you wouldn't want to do it and if you are too busy, I don't mind just buying a template from a website or trying something myself :/
Well... the guy has to approve it... as long as he does, I don't mind what it is... but... as I said, If you can't, I don't mind buying a template or something... just need to get something done...
Where we work the bathroom is down one hall, around a corner, and at the end of another long hall. The walk to the bathroom isn't so bad, but too often one will walk all this way only to find the door locked and the facilities occupied.
I don't mind taking a necessary bathroom break every few...
I just call them all by number. They are responsible for knowing their bytes, the bytes of the person in front of them, and the bytes of the person after them.
