I enabled dark mode on Stack Overflow yesterday, disabled it, and I still don't have flashlight. Is there a requirement such as having it enabled for a certain amount of time?

I've got the Vexillologist hat, then removed. But as I was wearing it, no one dared to take it from vinnie jones. If I change to another hat, will that mean this hat to dissapear forever from my profile?
