Welp. Decided to go clear out the queues. Got confused by UI lag and accidentally clicked "Leave open" on a question I meant to close. Fuuuu-

@El'endiaStarman I'll try to visit every day again, as I had been before, to help with the review queue load. I got so frustrated for a while that I reduced my input.

Q: Crucifixion -- torture stake or cross?

dancekThe Jehovah's Witnesses state that Jesus was not nailed on a cross, but on a torture stake. The New World Translation of the Bible is phrased accordingly. For example: Matthew 10:38 (NWT) And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me. (All the other...

Old and a bit truthy. I see two parts, why does it matter and which one is it?
I wanted to edit it to "why it matters to jws", but the answers focus mostly on which one is true.
A recent question is similar, possibly a dupe, trying to differentiate. christianity.stackexchange.com/q/73663/3961
Any ideas or opinions?
I like that the new one fixates on scholarship.

@fredsbend It wouldn't be hard to edit it to say "what do JWs teach?" but half the answers would have to be deleted. Which has been done for many other questions
@El'endiaStarman If you could just leave the suggested edits queue alone though...
@curiousdannii lol. I remember when I thought I was quietly sneaking the lead on that. Then @El'endiaStarman swoops in with his no daily limits approval hammer.
@curiousdannii Yeah, so just leave it alone?
@fredsbend Or the easiest solution would be to close dancek's and then ask a new question for strictly the JW perspective.
Well, if you think so. I'll let you shoot the first shot, I'll get it in review.
Unfortunately this question and its answers are doing too many things: summarise scholarship, push one views, argue against other views. The question nominally asks for the JW's views, but the selected answer argues against them. This question should be closed and split up. This question handles the scholarly consensus. This one asks for the Biblical basis for the JW's viewscuriousdannii 9 secs ago

Q: We Are NOT Resigning … Yet

El'endia StarmanWe, El’endia Starman, Peter Turner, and Mason Wheeler, are not resigning at this time. However, we object strongly to the way that StackExchange staff handled their disagreement with Monica Cellio. SE has shown extreme and unjustified disrespect towards her and by extension, all of us. This is t...

When did wax eagle cease to be a moderator?
18:58
@Mr.Bultitude He was inactive for over a year on both sites he modded before SE took the diamond (after contacting him via email, presumably).
19:19
@Mr.Bultitude at rpgse, we had "3" for almost a year but only two - SevenSidedDie and mxzyplk - were active and present. We eventually had an election and got two more.
waxeagle was our third but we lost him.
