@fredsbend "@Abstractioniseverything. Neither. I mean to say that I can look at any passage in the bible and have conclusions and thought tracks that were previously closed to me. When I was a believer, I had my core theology that I knew the bible supported, so I was pigeonholed in my study to always support that.
As a non believer, I can make conclusions like "No, the author is just making nonsense," or "Yes, this is inconsistent with these other passages."
I don't have to strain the bible into anything. It is what it is, and ironically, I appreciate it more now."
