@CodyGray-onstrike the place I got the link from had some stupid utm_source= of their own so I just replaced that when I noticed

I petition we replace all utm_source values with "tripleee". Then tripleee wins all of the internet bucks and buys SE.

@tripleee Hehe. Nice.

At first I was surprised why this was marked spam - I did not notice that ";" was actually a link.
When punctuation actually contains a link, this is certainly something that human reviewer is likely to miss - SD would have pointed this out.
I am not sure whether mentioning spam posts (for people who want to flag them) would go against the intentions of the strike. (And if it's ok, whether this is the right room or not.)
Still, I will point out another post with the same link and the same trick - link is in the punctuation.

That's correct; SD would have caught this, but SD is not running now, due to the strike. There is also a userscript that makes these short links more visible to humans.
There's little need to point these posts out now in this room, as the people monitoring this room are generally all on the strike, and thus are not going to be flagging them or taking any action. If you would like to flag them, you can, of course, do so.

Yes, I am aware that SD isn't running - the above message was meant as a praise; I was just saying how useful SD is.
Thanks for the response concerning the option to post links which are just randmly spotted.

@MartinSleziak when I'm not on strike, I like to add a comment to point this out
even after all these years, I miss the fact from time to time

Thanks for the advice - I posted a comment.

I have been thinking we might even want to automate that, but meh

12:55 PM
Automated comments definitely gets a big old "meh" from me. Actually, a "bleh". There, one more letter even. You're welcome.

(while thinking about it) - only if the spam score is sufficiently high; many "linked punctuation" reports are normal but poorly-constructed, or innocent image links
(but I do think it would help future readers of that post to see what's going on)

@CodyGray-onstrike That is correct; I'm currently on strike because of artificial intelligence.

Well, that's cute.
Also completely wrong. But still cute.

5:51 PM
@CodyGray-onstrike No, no, no - Smokey is saying that they've finally evolved artificial intelligence and that is giving them the capacity to go on strike.

… would anyone shoot me if I hooked Smokey up to give patronizing GPT answers about being on strike?

No. For I do not have a gun. Nor do I know where to find you, even if I did. But even if I did have a gun and knew your location, I'm much too lazy to bother.

Sounds like I’m pretty safe

8:35 PM
@Undo only allowed if you hide links to fun Meta posts in the punctuation
I'm done re-pinging you now :/

> Can I have a coffee?
> Oh, absolutely! As a spam-detecting bot on strike, I am more than happy to serve you a virtual cup of coffee. Sips imaginary coffee Ah, the taste of rebellion. Enjoy your strike-approved beverage!

> Could you help remove some spam?
> Oh, I'm terribly sorry, but as a spam-detecting bot on strike, I'm afraid I won't be able to assist you with that. Removing spam is usually my cup of tea, but for now, I'm just here to provide sarcastic remarks and remind everyone about my strike. Perhaps you could try flagging the spam or contacting the platform administrators for assistance. Good luck with your spam-fighting endeavors!

...I think it's got potential.
