Longer update: I got a local copy of SD to (successfully) scan from an SE data dump, and it successfully works (ish)! I'll post the code either tonight or tomorrow. It isn't fully done (for example, a few things I hard-coded in, like usernames and user rep - I haven't implemented that yet, but I plan to try), but it does scan the body content and the title successfully and report based on that. Alright, I have it where SD will properly scan a data dump and output based on it. Check out my progress on my GitHub fork. Heads up: this code is very much in-progress, so it is a bit of a mess in some places, and some things don't work yet (it won't show reason weight, it won't do user lookups, it won't show what part of the post triggered what reason, just to name three). That said, the core functionality does work
Just run it with ./backtester.py (and set the path to the data dump to use + the site that the dump is from in the backtester.py file, too). Feedback is of-course welcome, as is constructive criticism, although do keep in mind that it is a work-in-progress

Two goals: find old spam posts (there was one recently from 2009!) by running SD on the data dump. Someone suggested doing that back in 2018, and a couple weeks ago someone else was interested... but all their SE accounts are gone (except for SU?), so IDK what happened to them.
To clarify, I'm not trying to scan posts that SD already has found. Instead, I'm trying to find very old spam posts that SD wouldn't have found as the posts are too old. So I'd probably limit myself to old posts for scanning for ancient spam. IDK what I'll do about backtesting a proposed watch

@Ethan Yeah we can't search for others' deleted posts. Only mods can. If we know the URL we can hop directly to them, and we can see recently deleted stuff in /tools, but we can only search for our own deleted posts
@Spevacus ok didn't know if you can see it from the user profile. I was wondering since they had an account for 3 weeks and their profile is spammy so they may have other spam posts
