@SmokeDetector Typical post then edit in spam links later pattern. This one uses domains we've seen in numerous spam posts. Looks like we've got a string of them happening.
@SmokeDetector Plagiarized from here, or perhaps another Reddit thread.

@SmokeDetector It looks like Reddit links posts/comments to multiple pages, so the text on the link I provided earlier shows up on multiple threads.

@Makyen I'll try and test some regex's

@Daniil A lot of those "FP" are ones we still want reported, and should have resulted in at least a custom mod-flag to have the username reset. Please do not adjust the regex based solely on the FP/TP split there.

@Makyen Why doesn't this work?
\bnigg[\(a|er)_]+
It still matches NiggelGame‭
but doesn't contain a or er after nig

\( escapes the first ( in your group
...I'm surprised that's not a syntax error, actually

But \bnigg[(a|er)_]+ still matches
Oh ok:
\bnigg(a|er)+
That works
@ArtOfCode Can I re-blacklist to that? ^
3 less tp's, 11 less fp's

6:53 PM
suggest not, because that particular phrase is already caught by the offensive regexes

Then what's the point of:
\bnigg[aeu][rh]?

@Daniil How many of those results have only that detection?

@Makyen Um... how do I check that?

@Daniil The results in search show what detections were triggered on each result. You can also look at the overall weight for the post, which can be used to narrow what you have to look at.

@Makyen Is 'FIRE' for SOBotics still deferred?

@Daniil I'm not sure what you're asking.

Apparently, @double-beep asked you about implementing FIRE for Natty (SOBotics bot) and it was deferred?

@Daniil I don't recall being asked about that.

Ok, well can I ask now then? ;)

7:13 PM
What functionality are you actually looking for?

Same as FIRE, feedback as tp or fp (no flag), feedback as link-only (VLQ flag and canned comment), naa (NAA flag and canned comment), lib (VLQ flag and canned comment), me too (NAA flag and canned comment)
Canned comments will be provided when requested
Post preview as FIRE, the reasons for reporting aren't necessary in my opinion

@Daniil It would not be all that difficult to modify the code which I personally use. However, it would not be permitted in the actual FIRE release. MS only has the ability to flag as spam or R/A. Flagging through SE, which is required for NAA or VLQ, is not permitted to be added to the released version of FIRE, although I wrote the code for it a bit over two years ago.
As to providing feedback for Natty, is that available through an API on a server, or it only through chat messages?
For commenting: unimplemented, but certainly doable.
As to preview, I have code for FIRE which uses data from the SE API, in order to cover times when MS is down, but it's of limited usefulness without the ability to flag through SE, which, again, isn't permitted to be added to the released version of FIRE. Alternately, I have older code for the URRS which created a preview of the posts which it covers. Although, it would need to be updated, as I last touched that preview code a bit over 3 years ago. I'd also implement it differently if done now.

@ArtOfCode Cerbrus doesn't like the fact that the SE API isn't as clear-cut wrt. defining flag types as would be ideal. The conversation starts here.

@Makyen (@ArtOfCode) More accurate would be to say that Cerbrus didn't want to take responsibility for matching the flag type FIRE wanted to raise through the text the SE API uses to name the flag to the identifier used by the SE API to actually indicate the flag type in the calls to raise the flag. The flag names are unchanging, but there's a limited list of different names for each flag type for localized sites.
The actual flag identifier is explicitly something which you're not supposed to rely upon. As you know, you have to match the name of the flag you want to the list of available flags and then use the identifier which the SE API provided which matches that name.

@Makyen so... given that the de-facto maintainer for FIRE is not Cerbrus... I'm gonna say it's perfectly reasonable to add SE API usage if you want to

@ArtOfCode OK. It's not a call I wanted to make, as I felt I was too closely involved.
