@double-beep Yes. You should, generally, choose the instance that's been running, rather than switch to a new instance. The main reason to switch to a new instance would be if there was a problem with the currently running instance. The reason for this preference is that instances store some state information within themselves which is not shared with other instances. Things like the user blacklist/whitelist, recently reported posts, etc. are not shared.
You can see statistics for each instance from the status page by clicking on the instance name. For example, if you click on "teward/Lunar Eclipse", you get this page.
@SmokeDetector I think the user is affiliated with the link (see username and link). Given that it was spammed by a specific person, I think the post itself is spam.
