@SmokeDetector This was edited during the grace period away from cat-on-keyboard to actual spam.
@SmokeDetector SD should check to see if the body is the same, not just check to see if the post is the same revision, as the post could have changed due to a grace period edit.
@tripleee The issue for the spam-wave tool already existed. I just asked how to access the tool, as it's not linked on MS. I did post an issue about a need to have a way for SD to not get behind in posting reports into chat due to rate limiting. During the spam-wave the messages SD was posting in chat were more than an hour behind real-time, and SD eventually just forgot about posting 160 reports.
@tripleee np. I just feel that having a way for SD to keep up in chat, or at least do substantially better than it did, is fairly important. After all, what if that happened at a time when MS was down? We would have never been notified or had a record of 160 spam posts.

@NobodyNada np. It's easy to have something happen to the instance and not know it. At least it's back up. That's good. Unfortunately, it's often difficult (at best) to determine what caused such problems.

@Magisch Also, I just tested; the link to the edit review is still visible publicly to logged-out users, which means that the spammer now has a public-facing page with spam they can show to whoever's paying them.

@Glorfindel If we get a mod to override the approval (provided it's possible to override outcomes on deleted posts), it's possible that the system will catch on and activate the anti-spam feature to display it as a false 404 to logged-out users.
There's serious diminishing returns in there for either Stack Exchange or spammers. If they ever do an orchestrated campaign of suggesting edits on their own posts to nefariously try to fill edit pages with links, we can deal with that when it comes up. But a tiny amount slipping through the cracks is OK.

@doppelgreener That might happen since it's possible to suggest edits entirely anonymously without an account (not even an unregistered account). And to think I spent several years convincing SE that anonymous edits were great.
@Makyen (FIRE) When there is an error when pressing spam/rude buttons (i.e. I am not a member in a site or I have already sent feedback through MS), but either a spam/rude flag was cast or feedback was sent to MS, the popup won't close. It closes, though, when everything was successful or the post has been deleted. Is it by design and if yes, what are the reasons?

@tripleee need ya help here. I have uploaded the flask app according to the process here. Although the names of folder where WSGI file resides and the folder where main code is in are different. And it's giving me error "cannot import name app".
