Hi smokey folks. I don't know how to report this, but somebody's been spamming Community Building with goo.gl-redirect links (so not the same link each time), but the text of the link in the post is (so far) always "gclub". Can y'all do anything with that?
@YvetteColomb the links in the posts are all randomly-generated goo.gl links, different in each post. Does Smokey look past that to the actual site being spammed? I can go get that if it would help.
> Publicly you don't want to focus on him (you've said he doesn't take criticism well), but you can ask the community to pay more attention to edits in general.
As you can see, they're varying the rest of the post somewhat, but usually it's all generic. (Only that one was an attempted stub of an answer, maybe.)
@YvetteColomb I assumed so just from a quick glance in a private window. I don't read that language (or even know which it is), so I'm reacting to design, the URL, and the fact that somebody is eager to spam it.
@YvetteColomb nice to see you too. Things have been busy here, and then the topbar demanded attention, and Rosh Hashana starts tomorrow night, so I haven't been around Pets much. With luck that'll change before too long.

@quartata it cancels the test for some of them when there are new ones in the queue (deploy but not master IIRC) but it tests per push, not per commit AFAICT
@quartata no need to put explicit word boundaries; !!/blacklist-keyword entries only get applied in a context where the word boundaries are already supplied
in fact, if you want to match something without word boundaries, you have to create a code change PR
Spam flag option not present, No account on this site., etc.
Okay, so maybe that has something to do with what @Glorfindel mentioned yday about a post that was flag declined for me, based on what he saw on smoke history, but I didn't actually have a flag there. Must have been that my flag didn't register in the first place.
@NVZ what do you mean by "feature"? there's been talk of increasing autoflags on posts with high spam weight but other than that, I don't immediately think of anything we have actively planned

@AjayBrahmakshatriya ╳ You are not a privileged user. Please see the privileges wiki page for information on what privileges are and what is expected of privileged users.
@quartata some of the current Halflife functionality could certainly live in Metasmoke instead but the plan I have for Halflife is ultimately to be an interactive helper here in this room, so "hey you could blacklist this now" or "this term is trending in spam now"
Some time ago I asked someone in this room to enable SD commands but at that time the users who have !!/approve privilege not available yet due to timezone difference.
@tripleee I asked same thing like @AjayBrahmakshatriya to submit feedback by chat commands at the past time, the difference between US times & my local time seems hampering me to get privileged.
@YvetteColomb the phrase in the posts she quoted doesn't contain the .com suffix and the site behind the goo.gl redirector also doesn't match your regex (and would not be resolved by Smokey anyway, so we would not see it even if it did)
@tripleee I'll have to backtrack and check it -my bad- I know sd wouldn't be detecting it the way it was being linked- but I figured it should be blacklisted in case they had the gall to post the link

@tripleee what do you mean by 'Technically, one of the Metasmoke admins will need to change your privilege entry in the database. _(FIXME: More detail here please?)_'

@angussidney which table exactly etc; my plan was to add this sort of detail to all the privilege entries you added yesterday but it felt premature at this point
@tripleee for privileges marked 'SD', it's in globalvars, for 'GH' it's the sandard setup for adding a repo collaborator, and for 'MS' an admin just has to tick the appropriate box next to the user's username on metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/admin/permissions (linked from the tools menu for admins)

@angussidney it meant to link to the source line with the broken link in your big edit yesterday but like I wrote, I managed to figure it out - sorry for the unnecessary ping
Also, referring to your two comments which detail where the privileges are set, they're a bit out of place considering that here I've already mentioned where each priv is set
yeah, I agree that it should probably be refactored
my goal here is to document how exactly to change the privs and to me, it makes sense to include it in the description of the privilege so you don't have to scroll back and forth to see what you are doing and how to do it at the same time
Generally, by the time you have the ability to change these privileges you already know how to change them, which is why I didn't list it under each priv
@angussidney that knowledge is easily forgotten if you don't do it often; it should be documented somewhere, somehow, if only to help you verify that you remember correctly
