yeah, I sort of assume you were responding to that ... I landed on it by other means just now, funnily (it was mentioned in the latest podcast)

I'm actually skeptical about the chatroom idea, I would try to refactor the wall of text she is talking about in the post into something somewhat more dynamic / responsive

I'd hate to call it a "wizard" but something which guides you through a set of forms and collects the actual post from snippets you put in as answers to questions

(or probably these days better a single dynamic page which updates as you respond to individual prompts ... dunno if you call the dialogs when they aren't really)

It's nice to know the heads know about the issue an are working on fixing it.

well I guess if you have a chat room to fall back to that'd be wonderful but I don't think a chat room alone could possibly scale

I have no qualms about calling Martin's idea a wizard

I agree the chatroom will buckle under the weight of newcomers as soon as day one.

Either that, or enough people will ignore it that it it won't help staunch the flow.

In the latter case, it could still be useful. In the former, it won't.
