@angussidney What do you usually play?

3:46 AM
@Mego I like to play Civ 5 a fair bit, Age of Empires, etc, also a lot of different indie games

Age of Empires is awesome

Their communities are very tame in comparison to other games, but when I play FPSes with friends etc, you do get exposed to it all
@Undo which one's your favourite?

Anonymous
CiV can be very brutal with friends. I've never heard so many expletives directed at Gandhi before.

True :)

heh. I don't really play it much any more, but years ago I'm pretty sure we downloaded the trial version for 3. Tons of fun for young me

Anonymous
3:49 AM
@angussidney We should play some CiV sometime

@Mego yeah, maybe. Steam username is same as this one, send me a friend request sometime if you're interested. But I probably won't be able to get in a game for a few weeks, I'm a bit busy with school

Anonymous
Sure thing

Anonymous
I'm always looking for more people to play CiV with

@Undo The first one I owned was 3, and I really liked it, but I like 2HD the most due to the sheer amount of content avaliable to play through

I used to play on my dad's ooooold work laptop (circa 2007). Recently installed it on my Macbook and it's amazing how much better it is
Probably a 2005 laptop in 2007
Like, ship battles don't freeze everything anymore

@Undo [:37865491] That message is not a report.

IIRC their logic is that people who buy games on sale usually don't play it very much. They'd rather have a loyal, dedicated playerbase than a ton of money.

Anonymous
They also don't accept donations or any other form of monetary gift. If you want to give them more than the $20 USD that the game costs, they say to buy another copy and give it to a friend.

@Mego that's a great thing for them to be saying

Anonymous
The dev team is really cool. They regularly interact with players via their forums and Reddit. They also play the game a ton.

But like I said - I can't recommend it to you in good faith because you're a student. Sleep is important. :P

@ArtOfCode curious. Does this work for any pull request or just blacklist requests?
Also, are we supposed to use this for any other pull request if it does work for others?

@Magisch Based on my understanding, it works on all pull requests
BTW it doesn't actually merge it, it just allows it to be merged
Presumably we could set up something later to allow non-git-privileged people to accept PRs, but this doesn't do that

So what is the point of it then
Outside of that an admin merging one has to write a comment before merging too

Where has M.A.R. been?
(sorry for interrupting, didn't look before posting)

@Magisch y'know how ages ago we wanted to have an approve review on PRs for accountability, but still wanted people with git acess to be able to direct push?
And we came up with a complicated dual-branch system that never really worked?

@angussidney Ooh, makes sense -- trusted code admins can say "I reviewed it; it looks good to me"

4:51 AM
Well this is basically the solution to that
:37865783 yeah

@angussidney I suppose
So it's more of a formalized way of saying "I ran the usual checks on it - looks sane to me"

Yeah

@Mithrandir Not according to what angus explained
it's basicly just a way to more formally state that you agree with the request so an admin can merge it without thinking more about it
(as far as I've understood it)

...I think a pull thing would be more useful, but OK.
