@Undo I got an email that just said "no 13- people so begone with your account" and I contacted SE team using the Contact Us form that another mod gave me and recommended me fill out, but no response yet
@HyperNeutrino Here's the scoop: (1) We don't intentionally enforce underage deletion retroactively, and (2) let the contact-us form go through; link to chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/38259280#38259280 and this transcript to give some context if they need it
and maybe mention me in there so they don't wonder where the TL link came from.
Hey while you're around Undo, remember that mod flag you asked me to do? I ended up putting @ Undo at the start by mistake, not expecting you to handle it though!
There are 300+ other flags right now and it'd be hard to even find it if you knew what you were looking for. Your flag is by no means the weirdest one we've got.
@JF not current on the status of that, but last I knew underage deletions are 'special', in the 'scorched earth' sense. COPPA laws are nasty. Post/vote reassoc may be possible? Don't really know.

humanly it might be better if we normalized to lowercase at some point but there are other places where this isn't consistent already so I have learned to use grep -i
dunno what's up with my typing, I've caught myself making many kinds of mistakes which are somehow out of character

30 is kind of low compared to 20 in 6 months but I intended it that way ... why would we require massive amounts of spam when those amounts should already be enough to convince anybody?
I was sort of hoping somebody would come up with different criteria so there would be something to discuss but if not, I'm going to call this a consensus very soon
so, does anybody think 42/42 is too low to just blacklist this?
^ nobody could you please star that for attention?
I'm thinking about doing a couple modifications to the blacklist commands: 1) automatically replacing spaces with \W, and 2) performing a !!/test and requiring confirmation if the keyword is already caught
curious why you dislike Python btw, I don't think I've come across that before? @NobodyNada
I mean sure there are people who think assembler is the only Real Programming Language or Java is the only "business language" but liking Ruby (I guess) and disliking Python is different
@tripleee Sure; a good example is converting binary data to a string. In Python, if my Googling is correct, it's data.decode("utf-8"), while in Swift, it would be String(data: data, encoding: .utf8)
That's not a huge difference, but IMO it's easier to tell what the Swift version is doing (and it's more type-safe -- .utf8 is an enum instead of a string, and can be checked at compile time.)
@NobodyNada not particularly compelling; being able to dynamically choose an encoding dynamically is a feature for things like user input where the encoding is also user input

@SmokeDetector @YvetteColomb you flagged as fp but there were additional posts from the same user which suggest that this was spam after all, maybe you want to reassess?
