@ArtOfCode Just saw your email. Not sure if I understand most of what you're saying, but at least you do which is the important thing. Anyway, what you were talking about doesn't seem to be a urgent problem, but a fix would be a good idea. Nice work on that one.
@angussidney yeah, it's not massively urgent. It's only a threat if someone (a) already has access to the database, and (b) has a good enough knowledge of cryptography and a powerful enough machine that they can crack null-IV short cleartexts.
@NobodyNada (sorry I was afk) I'll just restart the boot script for now; don't have time to look into it right now. I'll try attaching the debugger next time. Also, weirdly, my instance is pinging Redunda this time even though it is frozen. It's also possible that's happening because my computer went into sleep as I forgot to change the setting, but still that seems kinda weird. I'll look into this at night (or maybe few hours later).
