Setup: I documented what I did here

Important steps to set up serverless locally:

1. Install nodejs. I used version 9, but I believe serverless is compatible down to the current stable.

2. Install serverless: npm install -g serverless (I did global because their docs recommend it)

3. Set up AWS Credentials. I set up admin, please find a way to reduce that and let me know. It's multiple steps and in the link.

You don't need to do the "new service" steps. The serverless.yml will handle that for you. Note: This will create a service in us-east-1

You don't need to do the "new service" steps. The serverless.yml will handle that for you. Note: This will create a service in us-east-1

Set up environment variables in TravisCI. First, find the repository for your Helios and switch on the integration.

Then, go back to your Travis dashboard. On the far right, on the current/branches/build history line, click "More Options" and "Settings"

Scroll down to Environment Variables.

Add one for AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID and one for AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY from step 3 above.

Commit to the repository. You should get a build that looks like this: travis-ci.org/AWegnerGitHub/helios/builds/307719339
