It was meant for scams that talk about $ 10,000,000 and such amounts

I feel a distinct lack of table flips.

Maybe use $ as a keyword like "\$ [0-9,. ]{4}"

But in the german post it was 22.700.000 $
That post is weird though, maybe we shouldn't aim for outliers.
\$ ?[0-9,.]{4} should work.

@SmokeDetector k

@ArtOfCode Yeah, pretty much requires SSH access.

@Undo That is possible without giving me total control over the server - I did it for a couple of people on my Ireland EC2 instance so they could admin bots.
It's not the simplest process in the world, though.

Security is hard.
might be possible to have a script that calls Cap from the server itself, though
Not sure why that wouldn't work

5:45 PM
shrug I don't know enough about Cap to judge that
In simple terms, you create an account without sudo access, and change the group of the metasmoke directory to a group which both users can access

You've gotta have more than that dir, though. Need to have git, pretty much everything Rails touches, etc.
Anyway, gotta run.

Or you add a rule to sudo, so artofcode can run "command" only under the metasmoke account, he can then only deploy smokey, and you don't have the permission problem because sudo changes the user to the metasmoke user

@Undo Those are system things, I think, so they should be available to all accounts? shrug I don't know enough about Ubuntu :)

If you go for the permission using sudo method, this migth help

Crap. This thing is so close to working.
@Magisch should work on questions now, but answers still have a problem

@ArtOfCode Okay?
Can I have it then?

Is there any way to change the ping sound in chat btw?
the chrome addon makes this horrible creaking noise like nails on a chalkboard

@Magisch Which chrome addon?

6:05 PM
Fight spam on SE sites
@redredwine Ping me

@Magisch I just did.... The sound in the Chrome extension is cdn-chat.sstatic.net/chat/meta2.mp3

Yeah

which is the sound of pings in meta.SE chat.

Can I shift that somehow?
That is a horrible croaking foghorn noise

I'm open to suggestions for better sounds. Got a link to a file I can use?

6:07 PM
When you have all chat reply sound enabled
sound "visible rooms" and "all my rooms" @redredwine
The low thump
is much less ear bleeding

So, the regular ping here? cdn-chat.sstatic.net/chat/se.mp3

@ArtOfCode Will it implode if I try to flag questions?
Or just not do anything?
yes

@Magisch should work fine on questions

that
@ArtOfCode I mean answers

I wanted to have it different from regular pings, so that I know if someone's talking to me or it's just Smokey reporting.

6:09 PM
@Magisch it'll give you an error
Your flag will go through, but not the feedback

Hmm

@redredwine use the SO ping sound

Thats sort of annoying

@redredwine Could you make it configurable? if the sound is changed in the normal only, I cant hear the difference between a chat here, and spam

Anything but that foghorn noise is ok

6:10 PM
@Ferrybig I'm not going to make it identical to this ping, that's for sure.

Its making me super physically uncomfortable to the point where I can't use the extension at all

How do you manage to talk in the Tavern, then?
Anyway, I could use SO ping but then it'd be confusing to those who are also in SO chat.

@redredwine Most of the time in the tavern, I have sound turned off

Maybe take the meta ping, cut it down in duration and change the pitch for lower.

I can hear that sound 3 or 4 times before I get migraine from it

Or just find a library of CC0 sounds.

@Magisch allergic to flying saucers?

no clue but migraine is an unfun and thoroughly disruptive experience

I can optionally get a headache.

@redredwine game? GAME?! <self-righteous comment about how this is not a game>

@Magisch @Ferrybig Do you have an opinion on those ^^

second one is nice

But is it too quiet?
Hm, maybe I'll end up making this configurable.
