So, yes, we should flag em all. There's a chance it can be stopped without needing a mod.

@ArtOfCode even SE puts it behind click to see. I'm not sure I want to see that much info about a person. ;)
@hichris123 We can put it behind a click.
But honestly, the worst an IP can do is tell you what city someone's in.
And even that may not be accurate if they're on Tor or a proxy.
wrong, you can get the mac address from a ipv6 address if they have disabled privacy extensins
And using the mac address, you can get the network card company
or sometimes even a laptop if they are using the inbuild adaptor
@Ferrybig It's all IP4.
But worth considering... I'll go stick 'em behind a click, anyway.
Feature: keep a audit log for every click on the link to get the ip, like SE does
14:28
Aye, that'll require a little thought but it should be doable.
14:43
@Ferrybig SE has it so that Community Managers can oversee mods... Will metasmoke have the 3rd level beyond users and admins?
Getting a bit too bloated for my taste; I've cleared Metasmoke cookies / login info on my machines.
@Marshmallow Nah, it's just going to log access to file.
I may have broken things.
@Marshmallow What's the issue? And more importantly, what can I do about it?
Nah, Undo will probably not notice that its broken
@Ferrybig That's my dev copy, not the actual site
but... it's not meant to do that

@Marshmallow What's the issue? And more importantly, what can I do about it?
@ArtOfCode or just don't show them. If we really need to see it, it's in the database (but why is that even logged in the first place?)
Conflicted: 1 2 3
@hichris123 That's a good point, the ip address is actually pretty useless for us, expect if we want to see if account is compromised
14:57
@Ferrybig done
Aye, that is a good point.
I'm not comfortable with how the personal information stuff is being communicated and used. Right now, it's 3 SE mods that can see stuff. That's fine - but there is no agreement covering what they can use on metasmoke (whereas on SE they had to agree to the the mod agreement). Additionally, if MS gets larger and needs more admins, who is to say they will all be SE mods?
There are plenty of great users here that aren't mods
@Andy So I assume you'd prefer no capacity to view IPs?
Or email addresses
Since I can send my feedback from the chatrooms without the review queue, I'll continue to do that.
