Okay, so because of some troll trying to edit spam into RFC3 too, I've turned link sharing off. Happy to give people access to it if they still want it; send me an email address for your Google account at hello@artofcode.co.uk.
Troll cancelled his suggested edit when he realised I'd have to approve it, but Troll didn't bank on me getting realtime notifications to my phone about his nefarious practices.
I have my suspicions who it is, and let it be known that trolls are not welcome here.
Maybe we just go nuclear then. Instead of trying to render the page normally but without the profiler, if the pp param is one of the blacklisted modes, just chuck an error
I noticed that the posts of the recent spam surge on Ask Ubuntu were all edited by community members into something like
EDITED - REMOVED SPAM ANSWER
or similar.
While I understand why the users have done this and I too don't want to leave the spam content visible for longer than absolutel...

@JanDvorak Not necessarily a bad thing, but I do want to say that it is better to adjust or add patterns where possible rather than blacklisting static keywords/websites etc, as it allows us to catch spam in the future more effectively. But that doesn't mean you should stop blacklisting stuff.

Thanks. It will also skip users whose reputation has increased since the first post, but it's a good indication of why we shouldn't turn the filter on on Graphic Design.
