I have a proposal for a SmokeDetector enhancement. If a user coins the phrase: "And it didn't work". or: "And it didnt work" or variations on this theme, their question or answer is automatically suspect for deletion.

We could do that, but the problem is there's no good solution for NAAs like that.
With spam/offensive posts, we can nuke it with 6 flags.

"I tried to fromulate my foobars but it didn't work. Can you help me?" Is a telltale sign that the person posting that has zero problem solving skills.

But since NAAs are not so urgent, they require delete votes/mod intervention.

I'm handling the review queue. and I'm seeing a lot of: "it didn't work"
Makes my blood boil

Yeah, they're annoying, but the review queue is really more productive then dumping them in a chatroom (at least as of now).

2:39 AM
"Video playback just simply didn't work"
There should be an automatic -50 reputation penalty if you type: "just simply didn't worked" or other nonsense phrases that indicate no problem defining skills.

Those users aren't too likely to come back anyway (from what I've observed); they seem to just vanish.

3:08 AM
There's no real point trying to educate those users.
They'll never post again.
I think 1/5 users on SO have only ever asked one question

Does Smokey need to be able to see an answer to report it to him

@Erica I think so. What would be the point otherwise?

@Wrzlprmft Hmm, yes, in retrospect it's quite poorly phrased ;) I've got a deleted answer, do I need to undelete to report it to him?
Or is he able to see deleted answers (on Parenting)

@Erica I am pretty sure that you would have to. But you can always try. Worst that can happen is that you get an error message.
