What is this room?

@PsychOPhobiA It's a room where we run tools to find spam/flag spam/flag bad answers...

Cool I thnk my account allows me to do one of those choices for the amount of rep I have os PE
So how does these spams and flags come through?
Do you have o have certain amount of rep to these features?

@PsychOPhobiA Spam is detected by SmokeDetector; and if you flag a question/answer in Blaze, it posts a link in this chatroom (see the links in the message on the starboard).

@PsychOPhobiA There's a SmokeDetector bot that you can see above, which posts possible spam. This is also the room where we coordinate various moderation-related stuff (like making some of the projects listed in the pinned message to the right).

@PsychOPhobiA No, you don't; the tools don't flag posts through your account, they only post the links in this room.

5:36 PM
So can some of us non-mods help with yall?
Or is their only certain things we can do?

@PsychOPhobiA Yes; the tools here don't give you moderator privileges if you are no moderator.

Cool
Why is it that I feel more welcomed in any other site but the game dev site? - Sorry if that statement was off-topic.

I... have no idea about that, sorry. I'm not active on Game Dev.

In the game dev chat I am the one flagging 10% of the time which is very low flagging.
I never had any problem with other sites nor the SE network

@PsychOPhobiA Nice to hear that you are an active flagger :)

5:41 PM
Is that a good thing?
Normally keep the flagging low because I don't want mods to bann me or do anything to my account for ruining their work.

If most of your flags are marked helpful, then sure; it means that you help marking low quality content.

I can't see that in the chat though. Is there a way i can view that option?

@PsychOPhobiA See what?

To see if my flags are helpful or not

I don't think you can see your flagging history in chat.

5:50 PM
What kind of coding language you use?
I use C# and Python and JS for imaging

I usually use C#, but I also use other languages, for example Python, JavaScript, PHP ...
And the Charcoal projects are usually written in PHP and Python, but there is now also a Ruby on Rails project.

[Blaze] answer flagged by ProgramFOX: stackoverflow.com/a/25594679

There we go

^ That's an example of an answer flagged using Blaze.

So who aid what?
I clicked on the link and don't see anything wrong...
Except for the last answer which seems like he is not following the rules

5:55 PM
@PsychOPhobiA The answer says "Thank you", which is not an answer.

Well I gave him a comment

I have to go now, see you later!

Bye.
Well its just me now.
@Doorknob Hi can you please take a question and rule inspection for something for me please?

@PsychOPhobiA Sure, what is it?

stackoverflow.com/questions/25594738/… - can you please just verify for me if the rules mention anything about asking adult content questions.
This persons question is so inappropriate and should not have been asked - my opinion

6:09 PM
@PsychOPhobiA The rules don't explicitly mention anything about this (other than that the ToS states that users must be 13 or older). The linked question is bad for other reasons anyway.

So my reason is wrong?

There's nothing specifically preventing this. In fact, here's a quote from the terms of service:
> The Network may contain, or direct Subscriber to sites containing, information that some people may find offensive or inappropriate. Stack Exchange makes no representations concerning any content contained in or accessed through the Network, and Stack Exchange will not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, copyright compliance, legality or decency of material contained in or accessed through the Network.
The question is still terrible, though

Darn it
My flag sucks

A: Is there any way possible to ask legit Adult based questions?

Bill the Lizard Don't bother trying the 'nsfw' tag. It won't fly. Most of us use Stack Overflow at work, as it is designed, so there's not point in introducing the tag. There's no reason you can't ask technical questions about running an adult site, whether it's hosting pornography or gambling. Just leave th...

So
I guess its okay
SE should not have alowed it at all no matter what age
I say its to be kept personally.

@PsychOPhobiA Because the regulars of gamedev have put forth so much effort to help you with everything you ask over the months, and have learned that actually with every problem you have the only roadblock is that you believe "Smart people should just know the answer already" instead of accepting that you're ignorant and will make mistakes while learning.

@MickLH Can we... not have this discussion in here?

also, smoke detector is really awesome, the all caps titles are really entertaining

If you don't want to hear what he has to say, just ignore him.

@hichris123 I'd sure hope so, I was actually mousing over the "leave" link

@MickLH Yup. ;)
Some troll abused the heck out of it though...

7:21 PM
@hichris123 Don't worry, as an IRC user, if someone managed to penetrate the indestructible skin, then I'd know how to utilize an ignore function :P
@hichris123 I could imagine, some of the bots around the network seem a bit exploitable in silly ways

@MickLH yeah, basically what happened is some troll posted things that would catch the regex on meta SE.

I'll be honest, I've been casually taking note of what bots show up where, trying to see if I can get two into a loop of talking to each other

lol

Bonus points if the iterations yield new messages!

Installed Ubuntu on a partition of my notebook 14.04 (RV411 Sansung), in parallel to Windows 7 Starter (manure), but I can't initialize it. The wind7 starts automatically and does not appear to choose the option system (as occurs in other PCs). I touched a UEFI boot settings as, legacy and other things I've seen on the web tips, but to no avail.
