The method works at least starting from Windows 7, does the [windows] tag cover absolutely every version of Windows?

@DavidPostill Beginning from Windows 1.0? Can questions that apply to everything between Windows 1.0-10 even be asked?
 
@user598527 Yes, but not many people ask about Windows 1.0 :)
Usually Windows XP is the earliest version people ask about.
 
Technically the answers should cover all Windows versions, including 1.0 and Vista. I will go to Meta and start a discussion about the tag's scope.
