> I've been expecting you: pick a target. Until you reach your target, you have advantage on all stealth checks. Your target however automatically succeeds any opposed checks.

@Ben oooh interesting

Came up with it when watching Sandman on Netflix. He always appears near people, but no one is ever surprised by him.
So I thought it could be a cool talent/ability

Q: Versatile Performance, Demoralize, and -4

Austin BrownVersatile Performance states: You can use Performance ... instead of Intimidation to Demoralize. Demoralize states: ... [if] you're not using a language, you take a –4 circumstance penalty to the check. I don't think the rules-as-written allow for any other interpretation than for the bard to...

New 5e books are out. The new races are really strong.
1:54 PM
@ThomasMarkov ...do they have +2 to strength?
@AncientSwordRage Giff have advantage on all strength checks, which I'm not sure is how advantage is best employed
@Someone_Evil wait what
> Hippo Build
You have advantage on Strength-based ability checks and Strength saving throws. In addition, you count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
All the races seem generally more powerful than PHB races.
1:59 PM
I'm sure the firearm proficiency is gonna be a problem for certain situations
Not to mention the other built in boons on that
maybe that implies that 5.5e will have stronger races?
@Someone_Evil .-.
that does sound pretty powerful
@AncientSwordRage Pretty sure we've seen powercreep on races for a good while now. It's kinda to be expected
5.5e? They won't go to 6 directly?
@Someone_Evil this seems like a jump up but I've not paid much attention
@JohnP it's not meant to be a huge change I thought?
2:11 PM
makes sense
@AncientSwordRage I dunno, honestly. I haven't paid much attention to 5e, I'm still more of a PF guy, but even that I haven't kept up over the last couple years. But, I can see the end of the tunnel in November.
@JohnP what's in november?
I graduate with a masters in infosec, and finish my master's training in martial arts. It's been a long couple years.
congratz, already got your plans for what comes after?
3:06 PM
@Matthieu Sorry, was on a meeting. Not really, I would like to move into management where I am, but will be open to switching companies.
Mostly looking forward to relaxing for a few weeks with no schoolwork/papers.
3:27 PM
I am looking forward to getting back into the flow of schoolwork
@ThomasMarkov Spelljammer? YAY
@ThomasMarkov typical of badly thought through bloat
@ThomasMarkov which new book?
@KorvinStarmast Spelljammer: Adventures in Space
4:32 PM
@Someone_Evil wait, is that out already, or is it only on DDB? I think I ordered it from Amazon ...
@Someone_Evil ordering, I guess I did not pre order
@Someone_Evil Looks like it will be to me at the end of the month.
5:00 PM
Yeah, I checked amazon earlier and it was already sold out.
Gonna check my LGS tonight probably.
@ThomasMarkov There were 20 left when I ordered.
But I had to get the package: book, adventure, DM screen, yadda yadda. Wife is gonna kill me.
5:18 PM
hey there @KorvinStarmast
6:15 PM
Q: How can I find magic items intended for a specific class on D&D Beyond?

NzallI'm trying to use the Item list on D&D beyond to find appropriate magic items for an unarmed Monk. Note that I haven't played any tabletop D&D 5e before, so I'm unfamiliar whether such items even exist in D&D 5e or on the site. I have played some high-magic videogames that use D&D 3.0 and 3.5 (ma...

@bobble it's nice to have routine
@AncientSwordRage I agree. One of the tastiest dishes out there.
Oh, wait. I read that as Poutine. I think I need new glasses. Or lunch.
I actually thought that was an intentional joke
@Someone_Evil Well, yeah. Of course. But the key to a good joke is really selling it. :p
@JohnP good poutine must be easy to sell
@JohnP just don't eat your glasses for lunch
@AncientSwordRage you get a good poutine recipe its all gravy from there.
11:06 PM
@JohnP duck duck goose.
11:18 PM
@JohnP the puns are getting a little cheesy, curd we stop?
11:41 PM
It is now official D&D 5e canon that armor for your horse costs more than a spaceship.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
@ThomasMarkov Bethesda would be proud?
Uhm... though what spaceship (or horse barding) were you looking at? I'm not sure I'm quite following it
@Someone_Evil it’s a bit of an exaggeration. But if you already owned a boat, you could turn it into a spaceship for less than you could put plate armor on your horse.
@Shalvenay hail, sorry to miss you earlier
@KorvinStarmast how're things going?
@Shalvenay still damp. 4+ inches of rain Sunday, which we needed badly
Trying to play catch up to the party doing things I didn't quite predict in Salt Marsh, and I'm getting there. Had a neat RP session last night.
11:55 PM
@KorvinStarmast ah. doing alright over here.
