@Xirema These are the changes I'm making to my campaign for handling the exhaustion mechanics.

This is what I was using previously: obviously, the new stuff requires a lot more rules, but it's done with the explicit intent of dialing the effects back a little.

> Lethal Damage and 0 Hit Points
When a character drops to 0 hit points from damage that dealt less than 25% of their maximum HP, that character will be initially stable, regardless of the intent of the damage. Additionally, any character that is at 0 hit points and stable will be conscious, though also incapacitated and unable to move.

Whenever a character becomes unstable at 0 hit points, regardless of the source, they will gain a level of exhaustion. Exhaustion gained this way cannot exceed 6 levels. This exhaustion will not be gained if, when the character is stabilized, the person sta…
