Ben
1:10 AM
@MikeQ The He-mancer

Lol
He did use magic to like,... "Transform"
I use the word loosely because it mostly involved clothes changing
It seems like
What a waste of a magic sword

1:26 AM
@MikeQ Of course, the Hemomancer is much less fleshed out than the Tissuemancer.

Ben
@JoelHarmon I find the tissuemancer usually gets clogged up fairly quickly through level progression.

@Ben I've found 'snot a problem.

Ben
I did give it a shot... but yeah, he just got bogged up. I had to throw him out and get a new one

That's a ply-able attitude.

Ben
New character concept: A caster that only does parlour-shop magic. Not great in battle, but has advantage on causing confusion

1:55 AM
hey there @KorvinStarmast

@Shalvenay Hail, I just reviewed the Eberron UA. Lovely thematic approach, bloody bloated and over featured race choices. Do not fit the 5e Chassis. I hate power creep ... sigh.

@KorvinStarmast yeah, power creep is annoying

But the ideas and how they fit together thematically I really liked.

Ben
Town Guard: "What are you doing here? This area is off-limits!"
Wizard: *starts pulling an endless scarf out of his sleeve*
Guard: ...wha?

@Ben Misdirection sometimes works

1:58 AM
I saw it working over there points

Ben
Wizard: *slides his thumb off and on again*
Guard: How??

@Ben Hey, you'll put someone's eye out doing that!

Barbarian: *Slides his thumb off and on again*
Barbarian: AaarrrggghhH!!!
Cleric: Are you serious

@MikeQ Only takes half damage now, he's raging

Ben
Hahahah
@MikeQ Throws it at the guard and runs away

2:00 AM
@Ben The thumb is an improvised weapon and does 1d4+STR bludgeoning damage

Ben
@MikeQ called shot for the eye to cause the blinded condition

@MikeQ Barbs rule, guards drool...

Ben
2:12 AM
So someone went to town on Trump's WOF Star with a pickaxe, then called the cops on himself.

2:24 AM
The rarely observed "Chaotic Lawful" alignment.

user362639
Hello

hey there @TruonganDo, welcome to the RPG.SE lair :)

@Mustachachu Hello and welcome!

user362639
whats going on in chat

Not a whole lot, currently. Europe is mostly asleep, and it's about the time when the eastern USA starts drifting off.

user362639
2:29 AM
yeah

user362639
went to front line days today

user362639
tried to join adventure league

user362639
but the group accepting player's dm was not able to come

user362639
the other had 9

@Mustachachu drat

2:31 AM
In my experience, 9 is too many for most RPGs.

user362639
and were less appealed to the thought of letting somebody join

user362639
yeah

user362639
and when you have to wait more than nine turns in battle

user362639
but I got to see the place

user362639
they use maps and

user362639
2:32 AM
character pieces

user362639
which just lets us know how much more effort the dm puts in

user362639
they also have pokemon, magic, and other card games

@Mustachachu Some of that can be player driven. I have a player who is into Warhammer and minis in general. He's usually good for a map and some figurines. Otherwise, I just pull out some legos.
@Mustachachu Most Friendly Local Game Stores have a variety of games, not just RPGs. Inexplicably, RPGs apparently don't drive enough sales to keep a store open in most locations.

Q: Why doesn't my curious badge count all my well received questions?

Isaac ReefmanAfter reading this Meta.SE post and reviewing this question and answer I can't seem to work out why the progress noted for my 'curious' badge is only 2/5 instead of 3/5. I don't have a positive question record: (total questions - negative questions - closed - deleted)/total questions >= 0.5 (4 ...

user362639
I yeah they also have video game competitions

user362639
2:39 AM
sup @Miniman

@Mustachachu Nm, just keeping an eye on the site while I'm at work.

Ben
@miniman is always watching....

@Ben Well, not always. Since I'm on mobile, you can see my icon drift in and out when I pop in.

Ben
You're breaking the illusion....
:P

user362639
@Miniman shhh...

user362639
2:48 AM
@nitsua60 hello

@Mustachachu hiya

user362639
how are you

@Mustachachu Good. Just got home from a smallish 5e session. L16 and up play sure gets wacky....

user362639
I came to front line games

user362639
the adventure league dm canceled so I couldn't join

user362639
2:55 AM
and the other group had 9 players

user362639
but there is always next week

@Miniman will like this cheese: in that party the rogue has that thing where they get to take two turns during the first round. And there are two battlemasters in the group, one with +10 initiative, one with +1. So they pretty reliably "bracket" the rogue's second turn in initiative.
So the rogue goes, and sneak attacks, and on the fast battlemaster's turn a Commander's Strike allows the rogue to sneak attack again, and the rogue goes their second turn and sneak attacks again, and on the second battlemaster's turn a Commander's Strike allows the rogue to sneak attack again....
@Mustachachu Yeah... sounds like they need more GMs. Time to step up, man!

user362639
Oh no no no

user362639
way to young

user362639
not good enough

user362639
2:59 AM
also that is awesome @nitsua60

@Mustachachu not with that attitude =)

user362639
Im not an adult

@Mustachachu It's... just ridiculous. I don't really believe in high-level play, but it's for a playtest.

user362639
not even a teen

user362639
not going to give exact age for privacy purposes

user362639
3:02 AM
it would be awesome if I was able to though

@Mustachachu Don't sell yourself short. We all start at some point, and there are some really excellent things I see happening with the young (teen and preteen) GMs at my two AL sites.

@nitsua60 Too much to hope that it's an Assassin, I assume?

If nothing else, when you're 20 and pulling together a group you'll be a hell of a lot better GM than people who didn't start 'til they were "ready."
@Miniman I don't recall. That would have redoubled, or maxxed, dice on a crit?

user362639
thanks

But I'm not trying to push you, or anything. Just know that age/experience shouldn't hold you back.

user362639
3:09 AM
when I was at front lines with my dad, that was one reason I was super nearvous

@nitsua60 Depends on surprise and initiative order, but it would mean crazy damage.

user362639
hey @Rubiksmoose

user362639
how are you

user362639
one of the things that got me less stressed was when my father showed me a video of a chicken wearing shoes

user362639
I also learned they had chain dice bags

user362639
3:13 AM
and little figures, unpainted and painted

@nitsua60 That's some quality cheese right there.

user362639
:A

@JoelHarmon It feels a bit like we're a gunnery emplacement or something. 4-person crew: one casts foresight, one fires, another tells them to shoot again, they shoot again (they're so amped up on adrenaline), and then another tells them to shoot again.
@Miniman On the other hand, when I nat-1's the dex save against meteor swarm, then nat-1'd the Indomitable reroll of that save, then nat-1'd the Lucky reroll of that save... the dice gods had their revenge.

@Mustachachu If you're old enough to play an RPG, you're old enough to DM one. The lower bound I've seen is five; I've heard of younger.

user362639
DANG

3:17 AM
Granted, that wasn't D&D, and the rules were.... flexible.

user362639
0-0

@JoelHarmon Yeah, if you're talking not D&D, my 5 and 6 year-old kids have run Amazing Tales for each other and for me. D&D, though.... I'd imagine 10 is a good lower bound. Maybe a little younger for a precocious reader.

But consider these two items:
1. Games are meant to be fun
2. RPGs are about imagination
Neither of those are disqualified by anyone old enough to have a conversation with you.

user362639
thats one of the things my father was telling me

user362639
they WANTED me

user362639
3:19 AM
they wanted just to have fun

user362639
that also helped me cool

user362639
:D

@JoelHarmon (Though I'll say, here, where my kids probably won't find it for twenty more years, that 5 is definitely a lower bound on when I can have a "conversation" with a kid and not feel like my brain's being run through a pasta-maker.)
1 message moved to trash

user362639
my major problem is my confidence

The only meaningful data I got from <redacted> is "I have an extremely limited budget". And I have good news; there are many free RPG systems, requiring a financial outlay along the lines of paper, pencils, and maybe a few dice from the FLGS.

3:24 AM
@Mustachachu I think you'll find that even old-hat DMs struggle with this.

@Rubiksmoose Except for those of us with way more confidence than we really should have =)

What's more, there are many kinds of things to be good at as a GM or a player. Nobody is great at all of them.
@nitsua60 Overconfidence is a kind of confidence problem.

@JoelHarmon I'm confident that's not my problem =D

I see what you did there XD

@nitsua60 Yeah, it's everyone else's ;)

3:26 AM
@JoelHarmon This, though, is totally on point. I'd love some day to see/hear a variety of GMs talking about their particular strengths and where they think those were developed.
(I, for instance, think that I good in RL at moving the spotlight around and involving people. I believe this comes from my daily practice in a classroom.)

@nitsua60 Complementary to that, I find it helpful to discuss my own strengths/weaknesses with others around the table. Occasionally, their conclusions are different than mine.

@Mustachachu as far as the confidence thing, the best way to build a little more of it is to practice with a small group of your friends

@nitsua60 I got better at that by reading the Dungeon World rule book, running a session, then reading it again.

If you have run a couple of low pressure games it makes things easier

Each of those individually had improvements for me (IMO)

3:28 AM
@JoelHarmon Yeah, I feel like DW should be transcluded into the D&D DMGs.
Or replace.

@nitsua60 They try, but the systems are just too different.

There's, really, like fifteen useful pages of "how to be a (good) GM" in the DMG.

Agreed. I think my DMing is going to be vastly improved by my stint running Masks.

Part of the problem is the DMG has to both teach the rules and be a reference, and there are many, many rules.

Am I the only person who feels like the D&D rulesets, as written, basically have a new GM running screaming terrified across narrative tightropes without a net from the relative safety of one combat encounter to the next?
@JoelHarmon But even the organization of the thing... it's like "let me crack open this book and maybe it'll tell me how to run this game." "Welcome, GM. You are master of this world. Let me describe to you the planes of existence." "Oh, okay. I guess that's where I start GMing?"

3:32 AM
@nitsua60 To its credit, 5e does have Know Your Players in there before it gets to the Great Wheel.
Also, to my detriment in this context, I didn't ever try to learn how to DM from any book. I started by just playing, then ran games by looking up the stuff I thought I needed. While I'm pretty sure I've read all the words in the book at least once, I can't claim to have done so cover to cover.

@JoelHarmon I feel like we're circling back to this conversation.
particularly at
Apr 8 at 2:25, by nitsua60
@BESW I was chatting with someone about looking forward to the 5e "Strongholds and Followers" book coming out. They claimed that "the DMG has that covered." So we got to talking and my position was that what the DMG's got is an excellent quick-reference for someone who already knows how to do all this.

@nitsua60 Accurate.

Though I really should abuse some mod powers and edit "excellent" (and, frankly, "quick") out of that quote.
Having to sit there flipping back and forth muttering "are the damn traps before or after the huge chunk of magic items? Oh, right, both. Well, which part of traps am I looking for?" is neither quick nor excellent.

@nitsua60 I use post-it notes to make quick reference tabs.

@nitsua60 Yeah the DMG is fine, but none of the 5e books are laid out in a way such that I would describe them as being "quick"

3:41 AM
@Rubiksmoose Nor instructional. They're reference works.
(And I say anyone who claims otherwise already knew how to play when they cracked open the book.)

Ok, that's it for me for now. Later, all!

@nitsua60 I think I have to agree here as well. I don't think anyone can possibly learn to DM from scratch from the DMG. It just doesn't serve that purpose.

Which is fine, to have the DMG be the reference work. But it bugs me that WotC doesn't produce anything that fits that bill. (The starter set's not horrible--in fact, I like a lot about it. But is' not "zero to GM.")

Ben
I am so good at life
I am going to share a beautiful little nugget of information for all you good folks of the world
You can strain your cup noodles easily: simply puncture the lid with a fork.

@Ben I think you need stronger noodles, if fork-puncturing strains them.
(Assuming "cup noodles" is your term of endearment for your triceps.)
And with that brilliant bit of wit, I bid you all a good night!

4 hours later…
8:22 AM
@Rubiksmoose Everything is improved by running Masks! DMing even more so.

First game of 7th Sea tonight (although beginning with some same paging and char creation)

it's definitely a strange looking game
oh wait I must be thinking of something else
oh,... Sunless Sea yep that's what I had in my head XD
my bad

10:56 AM
Never mind :)
7th Sea seems a lot of fun
I hope it goes well ^^

same
I hope you all have a good time with it

Thank you!

Have to go now, I need to deliver some items
The opposite of a fetch quest

11:34 AM
@Ben That seems like it might work out on lifehacks.SE

@JoelHarmon ... that is even written out on the lid of some cup noodles brands

user362639
back

user362639
went to eat breakfast

user362639
and do work around the house

hello @Szega

Hello :)

user362639
:D

12:43 PM
@Ben genius

@Mustachachu Oh hi. I was AFK, sry

user362639
it okey dokey

user362639
I got nothing to really talk about

user362639
so if you got something interesting like a character

I am actually creating a Fate character at the moment and hit a sort of creative speedbump

user362639
12:54 PM
what is the bump

well, in this world everyone has a "Talent", an ability we would consider supernatural. most have useless powers or not sure what it is
but PC of course have ones that are at least partially useful

user362639
mmmmmmmhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I was thinking something flexible to not limit myself much. I like the idea of creating impromptu performances. Like when i start to dance, random passersby join, as if we were in a musical

user362639
mmmmmmmmmmhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

But not sure if this will actually be able to accomplish much

user362639
12:58 PM
well, though it may not do much, it still ok

user362639
hey @NautArch

Most of the time its just a distraction and does not vary much, which might make it boring

user362639
when you get ambushed, just start dancing :P

yeah, in that way it might even be too powerful
I do not expect much ambushing, the game will focus on heists

user362639
when you get caught START DANCING

1:01 PM
yeah, but I gotta stop sometime, and they will catch me/us then...

@Mustachachu howdy howdy

user362639
just say you'll be back next sunday :D

the main problem is what the limitations should be
I originally imagined that the participants would think it completely normal
but not the onlookers necessarily

user362639
the limitations shouldn't be a problem because you just come back sunday :V

I'm not sure what you wanna say tbh
any ideas @NautArch?
I mean on the concept, not Mustach :)

user362639
1:05 PM
Im not taking it very seriously

You don't say

user362639
(0-0)

user362639
does this mean I can post C U R S E D I M A G E S

@Szega I like the idea of a very charismatic dancer that draws onlookers to participate. Sort of a walking flashmob generator.

1:09 PM
Pick something you think would be fun to involve to help move the story along regularly

@NautArch Yeah, its a good kind of silly that will fit the theme of the game.
I'm worried it will get stale fast.

I would like to add other kinds of stage performances too, with a possibilitry of making them "real" partially

user362639
use these @Szega

@Szega real?

1:11 PM
What kind of talents are in the rest of your group?

user362639
back up dancers?

I'd be worried about that too, since it is difficult to work with that in many situations that don't require fading to black and skipping forward

@NautArch Like someone lost a leg, I whip up a magician's performance with the boxes and designate the victim "my assistant". Of course, at the end of the show, the assistant is always unharmed
@doppelgreener work in progress still. One can teleport short distances, but fouls up the weather as a consequence

@Szega I may just be dense this morning, but I'm not understanding.

The most concerning thing to me is it completely domineers any scene in which it's brought up

1:13 PM
@NautArch I am magically applying the rules of stage to reality

What if you were a mime, and you the things you 'mime' could be real? Or is that too much (like an illusory wall)

@NautArch Performance hijinks lead to reality manipulation because of performance logic

basically, stage based reality bending

I will also need a good drawback to the use of the power. Since its all about heists, maybe being showy is enough...

@Szega Soyou're magician performance would make it actually remove someone's leg or cut them in half (but not really?)

1:15 PM
The fact this power dominates and controls any scene in which it's used would be a red flag for me
Teleporting can take place contributing to any scene, but this is "we're all in a musical now and you're playing by my rules"

@NautArch Or start in medias res with someone already cut up. Then "finish" the performance by putting them back together

@doppelgreener would my mime idea be too powerful?

@doppelgreener It sounds like a fun Outrageous Youth hack.

@BESW I don't know that system. We basically did not want too much magic, but still some. i brought up concepts from Darker than Black and Charlotte and the others liked them

@Szega Outrageous Youth is a Misspent Youth variant:
> Maybe you want a revolution you can dance to. Maybe you want to dazzle the powers-that-be with your glitter and fashion and make them realize that, hey, freedom for everyone is just more fun. This revolution is for you.
Outrageous Youth is a hack about revolutionary joy, love, and art. And it’s a hack about amazing, awesome, even a little bit over-the-top music and bands! It’s inspired by stories of music that help people break through boundaries and systems of control—so fire up your keytar, tell your bestie to lay down a beat on her laser djembe, and let’s rock.
But yeah, Greener's got a good point about making sure that your powers have roughly the same spotlighting agency as everyone else's.

1:20 PM
@BESW I see. So its more about my "Stagemancy" idea.
@BESW Yeah, I'm not too attached to it atm
may just scrap it whole

user362639
it is a cool idea

For the mime concept, I'd be concerned it'd outshine others very easily because it's super adaptable. Compared to "I can teleport," the ability to manifest invisible constructs of your choosing can be overshadowing.

I have trouble thinking of individual "stage rules" I could apply without stealing the scene

@BESW Yeah, I was worried about that. But being able to teleport (even short distances) for a heist is incredibly powerful.

Again, this is all about fitting with the group and since you don't really know what the group is doing yet... well, this is one reason I like cold-turkey "session zero" chargen.

1:23 PM
@BESW scheduling troubles. We had something like a sess 0, but it was at most a moderate success
we got the setting and theme mostly down
but some of us were too distracted to go really far

But I guess it's the difference between a one trick pony (teleport) vs the mime which can do a lot, but you have to be creative
and it's up to the GM to determine if it's reasonable..."I'm miming a cutting torch"
No, no you're not.

I'd take a pony over a mime any day ;)
2
And both of those over any type of clown

@Rubiksmoose not down with the clown?

@NautArch Or any other direction lol

@Rubiksmoose Now i feel like i need to create an encounter against a troupe of Bard Clowns.

1:42 PM
So, I have a question that I think I think is a useful question but I don't think it can phrased as a good SE question (I think it would probably be a 'shopping' question) and wondered if chat had any thoughts?:
**How can I find out the wider community's perception of whether a specific piece of Unearthed Arcana content is balanced or not?**
I'd like to use official playtest material from Unearthed Arcana in my campaign but I know that some of it may not be balanced. Ascertaining whether or not something is balanced can be tricky however, as different people can have wildly varying opinions

@Tiggerous This is a really good question!
Thinking more about it, I almost wonder if there's a meta Q first.
We can ask "is this balanced" here for homebrew. I'm not sure why asking the same for UA would be different (other than you didn't create the content)

@NautArch True and I did think about that

user362639
hey @Anaphory

I think the fact that Unearthed Arcana isn't my own creation - and has such a widespread following, means that I know that other people are already discussing whether something is balanced or not - probably a lot of other people. But if I don't want to go and read everything that's been said, is there somewhere I can go that summarises what everyone is already thinking?

@Mustachachu Oh, hey! I was still looking through the chat history, trying to catch up.

user362639
1:49 PM
okey dokey

How was your visit to the local game store?

Like are there any sites that run opinion polls on UA material that get a large enough response as to be considered fairly representative (and share their results)?

@BESW Spotlight!!! That's it. That was why it was occurring to me as such a red flag.

@Tiggerous Not that I'm aware of, but I haven't looked. I know Wizards has theirs, but I don't think they publish their results?

user362639
kinda good

user362639
1:50 PM
the dm cancelled

user362639
and the other group had 9 players

user362639
but I know now there taking new players

Cool! Oof, 9 players is quite a lot. That sounds like they might not only need that one GM not to cancel, but like there's room for a third.
Did you manage to leave a note on a bulletin board there?

@Anaphory I can't imagine running a table with 9 players.
ENcounters must be so sloooow

user362639
no

user362639
1:53 PM
they didn't have one

user362639
imagine the group BEFORE they split

user362639
the 9 group before had to split

user362639
that's why there are two

@NautArch I have a clown villain that I really want to run in Masks. I just have to see if I have a chance to fit him in.

@Mustachachu Wha! How does that even work.

user362639
1:54 PM
:V

@Tiggerous which UA are you reviewing?

user362639
I don't know

@Mustachachu My local game store here didn't have one either when I moved here, which did set my own search for a group back by some time. (And now I'm looking again, but now I know a few more people, including one of the staff there. Maybe I should try again.)

Hi @HellSaint wrote here rpg.stackexchange.com/a/128220/26501 that there are couple systems better for one shot games (then D&D). Does anybody know some of them?

@NautArch Well, I'm interested in a few bits - but Stone Sorcerer would be a good start - it's been out long enough that conceivably quite a lot of people would have play tested it by now.

user362639
1:58 PM
by try again you mean find a group right

@Artholl You could for example look at Roll For Shoes

@Tiggerous At first glance, it doesn't look like wizards releases their survey result data
that's both a bummer and makes sense

@Artholl But what kind of game do you want to play? High Fantasy, Comedy, Horror?

@NautArch Agreed.

@Tiggerous Should I assume you've googled for results (like the one on Reddit?)

2:02 PM
@Artholl Games like Cats of Catthulhu or Adventurers! might also be interesting depending on your preferred genre

@Mustachachu I mean posting on the FLGS' bulletin board to find players, specifically.

user362639
oh okay

@Artholl There's a ton, what kind of games do you like?
(Whenever I go gaming somewhere, I tend to have a folder of a dozen small games with me, usually with about 2 pages of rules.)

@NautArch I have done - and found some good stuff. But as I say my real question was about whether there was a way to circumvent the hardwork of reading lots of peoples' detailed and perhaps conflicting opinions in order to make up my own mind. Not specifically to get an idea about the wider perception of the Stone Sorcerer archetype specifically but as a principle which could be applied to any UA content

@Tiggerous But wouldn't reading answers here be the same thing? And at least those reviews you find are generally playtested and not just opinion-reviews.
@Tiggerous Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I'm not quite sure that's what the Stack is best at - but that would be a great meta question.

@Secespitus @Anaphory basically something that has D&D look and feel. I have friends and we play board games and some of them would like to try D&D. They know that played that, but I don't think that they are ready for so much rules :-D

@NautArch The ideal equivalent I can think of is the way Rotten Tomatoes rates films - like I could go to a site, look up Stone Sorcerer and see that 83% of 4594 respondants considered it balanced.

@Artholl I'd look at Adventurers!, which (if I remember correctly), try to fit all the rules on exactly two pages and then have very small two-page "modules" for different game modes.
But I've never played it myself, so take this with a grain of salt.

@NautArch I know it's wishful thinking - but something like that would be nice.

@Artholl So, dungeon-delving-monster-hitting? At the con last weekend, I think Dungeon Slayers might have been their go-to for this kind of thing. In that direction, I have run Fate Accellerated Masters of Umdaar with middling sucess (Approaches are hard.) While Dungeon World is written for longer things, I have seen it successfully run and ran it myself for one shots. I have tried Torchbearer in that context, but it has too many fiddly bits.

2:14 PM
@Artholl No, I'll look it up again at home, but it was really just a two-page PDF I found on drivethrurpg I think.

@Anaphory Great, thank you.

@Tiggerous I'd meta it. I don't think it fits in here, but it would be very cool to actually make something like that.
I'm actually fairly surprised a redditor hasn't done something like that

@Secespitus Ah, thank you. I found it: drivethrurpg.com/product/120987/…

@Artholl If you don't mind breaking the assumption that it will be that, I can second Roll for Shoes mentioned above (expect all the sillyness), Lady Blackbird (if they don't mind topics of romance and drama), and recommend a look at this question and in general, even the closed questions there.

@NautArch That said, you have persuaded me that there may still be some value in asking an 'Is this balanced question' on here about a UA archetype of particular concern.

2:19 PM
@Anaphory @Secespitus OK, thank you guys. I have really many titles to choose from :-D

@Tiggerous If you do, please review the Meta questions about how to ask about Balance.

@NautArch Will do.

@Artholl Now choose wisely :)

@Artholl The RPG landscape is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly hugely mindboggingly big it is. I mean you may think it’s a long way down the road to your nearest local game store, but that’s just peanuts to the RPG landscape.

@Secespitus Last time I checked, in 2013, RPGGeek had just over 4000 different RPGs listed. These days, that number is just below 9000.

OH MY GOD

user363233
it deleted my old profile

user363233
so I had to make another one

@Anaphory Yeah, it's incredible

user363233
make a creative question and until I had 40 reputation it wouldn't let me join chat!

user363233
its so STUPID

3:28 PM
@AidanLancaster If your profile was deleted there was likely a reason. Stating that you created a new one to circumvent the rules is normally not a good thing to do...

user363233
but why would it get deleted in the first place?

@AidanLancaster Firstly, what do you mean by deleted? What kind of thing did you see? Was it a message of some sort? Could you just not log in?

user363233
I put my age

@AidanLancaster It could be that the Stack has a minimum age and you were below that. (Please don't state your age or range here in this discussion).

user363233
Im not

user363233
3:33 PM
don't plan to

No worries just preempting. And that is just a guess on my part. It does seem that your old profile has been removed though.

user363233
now it just says user#######

@AidanLancaster Correct. That is what happens when a user is removed.

user363233

anyone here a solderer that could recommend a solder tool trigger and a knife edge?
I feel like I keep flagging the same person for answers in comments :(

3:46 PM
@NautArch Well it seems we took care of that comment pretty quickly lol
But yeah I agree. And also sorry no soldering experience besides burning myself repeatedly in high school.

@Rubiksmoose heh, i'll just do some googling

Hey @MikeQ

The very best, like no one ever was?

user363233
pokedice, gotta roll them all

Which reminds me, per the previous previous previous discussion, there are a number of pretty ok Pokemon ttrpgs floating around the interwebs. I think they're all unlicensed and free access. Some are built on the Fate system, others go for a d20 approach and use similar mechanics as the video games.
