@MikeQ I found that reduced attention on not-my-turn worked out pretty okay for most people in D&D 3.5, less well in 4e, and terribly in Fate.

I will admit that I have drifted off during not-my-turn several times, even in RL games.

Where would you find telepathy in the book, anyway? I can't seem to find it.

@SimonH. there's no central location for it really. The only rules that are described for PCs regarding it are found in the abilities that grant the telepathy. The is one spot where telepathy is breifly outlined for monsters in the monster manual.

I really wish that was in the appendix.

@SimonH. I wish it existed anywhere honestly. There is a lot of confusion/ambiguity around telepathy whenever it comes up.

One of the reasons that it was especially important to get a clarification from OP before answers started rolling in.
