12:04 PM
Yeah, every now and then I stumble across some bit of history like that which completely changes how I look at something--like anti-disco sentiment.

@BESW ... please say more about that? I am befuddled and curios.

@doppelgreener In the late 70s, disco had become extremely popular and was edging out rock & roll... and was also becoming associated with the gay community, as well as black and Latino cultures.
Violent protests against disco helped hasten its fall into obscurity as part of political and musical jockeying for power.

Does anyone have any experience here creating custom weapons in 5E?

Disco effectively became a symbol for racial and sexual "deviance," and the backlash killed the genre in America; the idiom "deader than disco" is a reference to that.

Whoa.
Poor disco...

12:13 PM
I mean,... I never would have been a huge fan of it anyway because clubs and dancing, but that is still a pretty horrible way to go

Those disco artists who stuck around into the 70s, got their albums re-labelled "dance music."

@DrRDizzle Let me ding some people who might be able to help: @nitsua60 @Miniman @SevenSidedDie @Trish (maybe?) and @T.J.L and @Szega Someone's asking for advice making custom weapons.
(.... That might be an excessive amount of dings. EXPERIENCE THE HELP STORM)

(This is also part of the reason disco remained popular into the 80s in many countries outside America; its cultural obscurity was forced upon it.)

yeah, and I have no problem with other people liking disco, it just isn't my thing either way
that being said, going to any place and dancing to any music at all is equally not my thing
it isn't really the disco in itself

@DrRDizzle Some experience, and a fair bit in critiquing other people's XD

12:17 PM
it's the stuff that goes with it

OK, so I'm trying to create a mace that can return to the owner's hand after being thrown (a la Mjolnir), but I'm unsure how that might work mechanically. My current idea is that the user can recall it to their hand with a bonus action, but I'm not sure how I want it to work with being able to hit enemies on the way back? I don't want it to be absurdly over-powered, but I do want it to be fun.

@doppelgreener ME? 5e?! Nope, I am not going to touch that atrocity more than needed.

So far I'm thinking that it's thrown to a certain square, and any enemies in the way make a STR/DEX check to avoid getting hit, rather than treating it as a standard thrown attack.

@Trish Oh, fair. I saw some D&D 5e activity in your tags.

@DrRDizzle I'd make it a saving throw rather than check, to match normal usage.

12:19 PM
@doppelgreener only when it comes to fairly clear stuff... or extrapolating from old editions.

@Trish My mistake. :)

@DrRDizzle Also, consider that using a bonus action means that you can only make 2 attacks with it per round. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you, but it's something to consider.

Hey, I made a virtuvian spider XD (yes, that is a searchable term! rpg.stackexchange.com/search?q=virtuvian+spider )

@Miniman 2 attacks per round seems perfectly fair to me, especially if might be able to hit multiple enemies per attack (if they're in a line, for example).

@DrRDizzle Yep, I just figured I should point it out. On a related note, are you planning to have it hitting enemies twice with a single throw? (Once on the way there, once on the way back.)

12:23 PM
> Mew-Mew! Your weapon flies back to you when commanded. At the beginning of your turn, your weapon moves one zone closer to you; if it's in your zone, it returns to your hand. If you wish, you can use your turn's action to attack as it returns.

@DrRDizzle well, this does remind me of some pathfinder weapon enchantment... returning or recall or something. it just vanishes from where it ende, then appears back in the hand... possibly a command word activated thing.
and yes, it was iirc a free action to use that weapon trait
Doesn't 5e have some "one free object interaction per round" anyway? That would be one... just you can 'pick it up' from anywhere, not just adjacent squares

@Trish That's a really cool use of that rule.

> Technically not flying. By throwing your weapon and not letting go, you can use an overcome action with Attack to move as if flying.
@doppelgreener Does Thor have a condition box labelled "Worthy" that he has to keep checked in order to wield Mjolnir, or is it labelled "Unworthy" and he has to keep it open or he can't wield Mjolnir?

@BESW .... I feel like that should be a condition he keeps checked.

@Miniman Yeah, I think so.

12:28 PM
hey, I learned my 3 bits of 5e from the stack, so don't count on me with this, but it doesn't strike me overly powerful to 'pick it up' from anywhere, at least in a world where arrows are plenty and make similar or more damage on range than a thrown hammer..

It's not just teleporting back, it's flying back. I like the visual.

@BESW Loki should have it unchecked most of the time, unless some mighty feat makes him suddenly worthy...

@Trish Oh, a weapon that just allowed you to get it back instantly, thereby allowing you to use it as a throwing weapon for all of your attacks, is not overpowered at all. But I get the impresion that's not the goal here.

@BESW Unworthy, unchecked, feels like a threat or option hovering there, tempting him to check it sometime. But Thor becoming Unworthy should be a rare, significant, and major event -- it may never even happen, or may happen only when he's Taken Out in a social conflict ("You become unworthy.") It feels more right to say "he is worthy," and have that affirmed with a positive and a checkmark so that the condition feels complete.

Makes sense.

12:30 PM
@Miniman I thought the check was "is it OP" and the answer is "no"...

I feel like Loki being worthy would take up a consequence slot...

@BESW LOL.
On Thor or on Loki? (Or both?)

@doppelgreener shall I start countuing how many times Thor was unworthy?

@Trish I am sure it was many throughout the comic storylines, but that doesn't mean it should happen regularly in a Fate game.
(so that's a no, you don't need to do that)

@DrRDizzle Ok, so, if it let you attack enemies in a line twice with each of your attacks, that would definitely be overpowered. So what I'd suggest here is that, when you attack an enemy with it, that's a normal thrown attack, but enemies between you and the target have to make a saving throw (probably Dex) or take minor damage.

12:32 PM
@doppelgreener it happened like a whole year or two ... when we had Girl!Thor

@Trish I am a fan of having Girl!Thor being a thing.

Also, because I like the image, and because it helps keep it from being too powerful, I'd suggest that enemies who fail the saving throw and take the damage also get pushed out of its path.

@doppelgreener Then, the year before... three times (Loki AoA had it TWICE).

@Trish Well, like I said, I'm sure it was many times. That's unrelated to Fate though, and not necessary to recount.

That also makes it more tactically interesting, I feel.

12:34 PM
@BESW If we wanted to model a more fickle relationship, I'd have an Unworthy condition with its checkmark there daring people to use it, but I wouldn't model Thor & Mjolnir that way. I might model a paladin who's struggling with his oaths like this.

@doppelgreener sounds more like... the symbiote and his host - they would have a checkmark "IT is in control" or something.

Does this sound OP then?
Paigam's Mace

Choose a square within 40 foot. Any none-prone creatures in a straight line between you and that square must make a Dex saving throw of 8 + STR modifider + proficiency bonus. On fail, creatures take 1d6 + STR + proficiency damage and are knocked prone.

After being thrown, the owner can use a bonus action to recall Paigam's Mace to their hand. Any none-prone creatures between Pagiam's Mace and its user must make a Dex saving throw of 8 + STR modifier + proficiency bonus. On fail, creatures take 1d6 + STR + proficiency damage and are knocked prone.

@Trish That would also be awesome -- say, a character tied up with Venom (@trogdor) who has a condition signifying Venom's calling the shots now.

oooooh

Another way of modelling it would be for the first throw to be a regular thrown attack, and the return a Dex check.

12:39 PM
that is teeeeempting

@DrRDizzle That sounds really good! Using prone is a cool way to do it.
One minor point I'd make is that it's very unusual (unheard of in official material, I think) to add proficiency to damage.

@doppelgreener I must admit never thinking of this in these terms

@Miniman That's my bad, I'm still fairly new to DMing

@trogdor Nor I, until Trish pointed it out.

@DrRDizzle New or not, I think you've got a really cool magic item there.

12:41 PM
@doppelgreener it's a very interesting idea

@trogdor @doppelgreener he, what shall I say, I just know my comics - troubled master/thing relations are a cool thing, but rare. Another is Jackyl/Hyde

@Miniman I like the sound of it. My party are going to find it being wielded by a Cleric of Darkness. It'll be interesting to see who they end up giving it to.

@BESW Make a Fate-ability for Venom, can you?

I think this is how I'll end up doing it.
Paigam's Mace

Damage: 1d6
Damage type: Bludgeoning
Item type: Melee weapon
Properties: Thrown (range 20/60)

After being thrown, the owner can use a bonus action to recall Paigam's Mace to their hand. Any none-prone creatures between Pagiam's Mace and its user must make a Dex saving throw of 8 + STR modifier + proficiency bonus. On fail, creatures take 1d6 + STR modifier damage and are knocked prone.
So the initial attack is still a regular attack throw (STR vs AC), and the return is the DEX throw/hitting multiple people.

@DrRDizzle Looks good to me! I'd replace "owner" with something about attunement, though - just to keep it unambiguous.

12:44 PM
Venom would be an aspect it/GM compels to let it out to play, no?

@Miniman I don't know what attunement means.

@Magician I'm tempted to say we'd model Venom as an Extra, and I'm giggling at how appropriate that is.

@Magician I guess... or YOU tell the GM "I let it out... do your worst but the first target is..."

@DrRDizzle Do you have the DMG on hand? I can explain it, but it might be better for you longterm if I give you a page reference.

@doppelgreener Well, yeah, there'd need to be bells and whistles involved. Up to and including getting a different character sheet to replace yours.

12:46 PM
@Miniman I don't, but I think I know what you might mean. I've just added this "Paigam's Mace switches allegiance if its owner is defeated in battle".

> VENOM (extra)
Concept: Shapeshifting alien symbiote
Trouble: Attachment issues
Power: Strength, durability, regeneration, and freaky terrifying stuff.

Condition: ( ) I'M IN CONTROL NOW

(Carries no stunts of its own, but now you have justification to pick up Venom-themed stunts.)

Perhaps the player doesn't even need to surrender control, only the character. They just get mean aspects that drive them to eat people now that they're Venom.

Venom's a character who needs another character to access most of its stunts.
Probably... give Venom the condition Bonded, and key stunts off that condition being checked or not.
Like...

@DrRDizzle It's up to you whether you want to use it, but attunement is detailed on page 58 of the DM's Basic Rules, available free (and legal!) here.

> Body control. While not Bonded you can ignore all physical obstacles that aren't completely air-tight. While Bonded you give your host +2 to Athletics when overcoming physical obstacles.

12:52 PM
@Magician The one /eating/ people is Carnage iirc.

Yeah, I like that. I'd probably model Venom as a couple of aspects and a lot of stunts, but no skills.
The stunts give Venom "limited but always works" features when not bonded, and enhance or expand the host's skills when bonded.

Hmmm, it can smell other symbiotes and is invisible to spiders

@Trish Carnage mostly kills people in a variety of ways. Venom has had a bunch of hosts, and has definitely eaten some people.

@Miniman It's interesting, but it also sounds like one of the more limiting D&D rules, which I've tended to avoid so far (for example, I gave the archer of the group an quiver of unlimited arrows very early on).

also: vulnerability to loud noise

12:54 PM
@Trish Easy: in some versions of Fate you can get more stunts by taking "costs" or "weaknesses" to offset them.

@BESW perfect for Venom, he has so many stunts... like being immune to getting tossed into space

> Alien power. Your host's natural melee attacks have weapon:4, but you are weak (can be compelled) against certain sound frequencies.

@DrRDizzle Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the "limited to 3" bit - I just like attunement because it prevents arguments about "I picked it up so it's mine now".

@Miniman Attunement like a Worthy check?

> Spiderbond. Spider-Man's supernatural senses can't detect you at all, but you can be compelled to act rashly because you desperately want him to be your willing host.

12:58 PM
@Trish More like the mystical bond between Captain America and his shield.
Like, it's nothing overt - it's just his in a fundamental way.
And, coincidentally, always returns to his hand and not some other random guy.

@BESW Otherworldly body. Your host gains Armor:3 against all conventional attacks, but has a Moderate (4) Consequence: "Sonic fragility" for as long as you are Bonded.

@Miniman uhm, mythical bond? Na, he went through like... 2 or 4 in all his carreer... wait... Thor was unworthy more often! Ok, Cap and his shield cound.
@Miniman it has been intercepted a few dozen times... especially by nazis

@Trish I mean, the best example I've got is Wulfgar and Aegis-fang, but I wasn't sure if you'd know that one.
@Trish Yeah, I know. But I think the general point is still clear enough.

@Miniman well, I remember only one person using his shield against him... Black Panther

@Trish I'm not sure whether you're trying to say that you do or don't understand the point I was getting at.

1:05 PM
@Miniman just that Black Panther is the better superhuman because he's King of Wakanda... @BESW! you think King of Wakanda/All the Vibranium are belong to us is a power?

I don't know what you mean by "power."
If you mean aspect, then... King of Wakanda is a boring aspect and All the vibranium are belong to us is an aspect too narrow to see enough use to justify itself on the character.

@BESW but he has all the toys... Vibranium killer sattelites!

@DrRDizzle That sounds alright. You should compare with the javelin of lightning and the dwarven thrower. The javelin deals damage in a similar way, but does not return. The thrower does damage like a normal weapon and returns instantly (no action).

Yes, but simply declaring that it belongs to him doesn't have much in the way of teeth.
Especially because it doesn't; vibranium is a Wakandan resource, and T'Challa's position as king does not make him absolute sovereign of all the nation's resources.

But also note that if you throw it normally, all those it would hit on the way back are in your way and might give a cover bonus.

1:14 PM
@Szega Oooh, good point.

Wakanda itself may be a character in a Black Panther game, with aspects like Our technology is the best and Our new king is untested.

We'd represent Wakanda as a nation as its own character, with aspects like The source of all vibranium

Or, if I were going to run a Black Panther game, each faction would probably have its own fractal.
Because the best Black Panther stories are about how the king of Wakanda has a tiger by the tail.

@Miniman Might be better to just make it the same effect both ways. It takes an action to throw anyway, so you give up possible extra attacks.

Wakanda has many tribes, and they're split between rural and city cultures. T'Challa has more support from the city tribes, but even they are unsure about his plans to break the nation's centuries of insular policy.
And some of the rural tribes are on the edge of revolt, with leaders of their own who they would see supplant the Panther tribe dynasty.
Oh, and the Black Panther identity is totally a tricked-out extra. It's not just the suit, it's the training and the medical and spiritual enhancements which come with being the family totem-bearer.
But it comes with a lot of responsibilities too, which would easily be modeled as costs and weaknesses which constrain the Panther's choices.

1:24 PM
@Szega That's interesting. It makes it a nice pay off, actually - you're less likely to hit if people are in the way, but if you do, you get a nice bonus on the way back.

@DrRDizzle But it does not make much sense that it would not hit them on the way there
If it can coming back

@Szega Well on the way to the target, it has to miss them in order to hit the bit of the target the thrower can see. On the way back, it's a nasty surprise to the back of the head.

hmmm, actually, having the BP to pay for some of his tricks by disabling others or having to perform different acts might be a nice mechanic: he can't have all the tricks, but he is very very much able to choose what might be needed for an adventure.

@DrRDizzle Mechanically it looks ok, though. Not even that powerful. I would give it out around level 5 or so.

@Magician yeah as I recall, he seems to eat some people
the tamest I ever saw it was a game where he just takes some of their life force and they supposedly wake up later
but that was probably so they could get a lower rating
XD

1:33 PM
@Szega My players are level 3 at the moment, levelling to 4 not long after they find this weapon.

he even looked like he swallowed those people whole and then just spat them out after

@DrRDizzle Thats fine.

@Szega Yeah. Even if it is a little powerful for the enemies they'll be facing now... well, I want them to have fun with it lol.

@eimyr that would probably be more like an aspect or a cost than a consequence
a cost seems like the best one
err weakness
that's the one I think

@DrRDizzle It is not that often that enemies line up for a shot like that. And hitting 2-3 mobs with an action+bonus is not powerful.

1:36 PM
Maybe, I guess I'll have to see. I don't think my players will mind me tweaking it if it doesn't feel good.

I might make it a martial weapon, though.

@BESW ah yeah that seems like a nice way to do it

@Szega Why's that?

considering he would technically be two characters
anyway, sleep time is upon me

@DrRDizzle Lots of classes get access to simple wepons. And throwing it just the right way is tricky. I just feel like it tbh.

1:38 PM
@Szega That's a fair point, and now you've pointed it out I agree.
I might make it a Morningstar instead.
Or a single-handed warhammer.

Morning folks

@DrRDizzle You can keep it versatile. But restrict the throwing to one hand, ie. d8 damage

@Szega Yeah, that seems fair.

@Alphaeus good morning

What's the chat here about so far?

1:50 PM
@BESW I'm so keen for the Black Panther movie.
@Alphaeus Venom, Black Panther, custom weapons in 5e.

OoOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo
I like both Venom and Black Panther, and know a spattering about 5e customs, so fair enough
I like the overall feel of Black Panther as a hero, I'll say that

I know very little about Black Panther other than what's in the Marvel movies, which is a shame and half the reason I'm keen on the movie.

Well, I'm not a person who "reads" comic strips either....I just consume errata and whatnot enough to compensate :P

@MaikoChikyu Like I said, expect me to toss you my preliminary Gdoc of the game manual today
Going good, I like it so far.

Yay. Also thanks

Np. The game dynamics are going to be more simple than I had originally thought, actually.
I mean, there are still many things involved, but they all revolve around the same basic workings, making actions simple

6:39 PM
@Adam Are you ok with me cleaning away these three comments?

@doppelgreener Sure. if you feel they're good to go.

they gone

7:10 PM
@MaikoChikyu Just as a note -- fiancé has some stuff planned today, so might have to bump my completion of the game till tomorrow. We'll see how much I get done, though.

@doppelgreener uhm... boomflinger has no cost adn what is cranking mechanic!

@Trish It's part of Unstable. That's a silver-bordered set -- a joke set. Completely playable, but outside of regular play and mainly for fun. It's only the third joke set they've ever made, the last one was in 2004. Here, the mechanics article goes into detail about what contraptions are: magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/card-preview/…
Basically you have three sprockets, you assemble contraptions, contraptions go on sprockets, and once per turn you crank a sprocket. Clear as mud, yes? Good. Crank away!

@doppelgreener a new joke set? oh man, I thought unglued/unhinged were meant to be a 2-block... with unstable it became a triblock...

@Trish Both of them were just loosely-related one-offs. There's no Un-block, just Un-sets.
Incidentally the first two didn't go very well, which is why it's taken this long for them to decide to do a third.

@doppelgreener Unhinged had such marvelous card like "little girl" - 1/2w each, [1/2 / 1/2], so you had to play two not to get 1/2 point of manaburn.... or Mox Lotus. (15), grants unlimited colorless mana on tap, for 100 mana you can gain one colored mana of your choice.

7:24 PM
Yeah, though, Unhinged had some production problems and reputation problems. From what I gather, a lot of the cards were fun to look at but not very fun to actually play with, and several cards such as the Gotcha cards were just absolutely disastrous.

@doppelgreener Gluentius Maximus or Latin Ass

@Trish so many.
In Unstable, I think they recognised: if they want to make a fun joke set, well, the game is already fun. So just take the current game and make some cards that already function super well within the current game's framework. Also, don't do stuff that restricts movement or speech or clothing or whatever because that was a dumb idea in hindsight.

Or... Wordmail+ Our Market Research Shows That Players Like Really Long Card Names So We Make This Card to Have the Absolute Longest Card Name Ever Elemental

@doppelgreener There is a new joke set? Awesome

Whacky combination - most magic cards have at most 3 words, with a huge concentration on two word names.

7:27 PM
The most they did was a new knight that asks you to compliment people, a couple of high five cards, some cards about interacting with people outside the game, and Handy Dandy Clone Machine (doesn't have to be your hands, but must be someone's -- human, alive, and attached to the arm still)
All of those, I think, don't result in a net reduction of fun.
@GreySage There is!

Time to buy a bunch of stuff to sell in 10+ years time!

@doppelgreener actually, nothing in the card says you can't use your collection of fake zombie hands as markers...

And they added Spike, the third Gamer. :)
@Trish Mark Rosewater clarified they have to be real living human hands attached to the living human owner still. They just don't have to be your own hands. (Since this is the Un-verse, Maro's clarifications count as much as if not more than the rules text.)

@doppelgreener Spike, Tournament Grinder, AKA Spike, Destroyer of Fun

Oh, and they added Urza. He's the Academy Headmaster. (Get it?)

7:33 PM
@doppelgreener Spike... to bring in a Mox Lotus... to pay for ANY spell you might want to cast?

@Trish [shrug] I dunno. Do you have a mox lotus handy?

@doppelgreener yep, I have one... Unhinged XD
@doppelgreener he is totally useless....
this card is actually Banned, not only not legal XD

@Trish I'm assuming the website will do something once the set releases

There's only two formats Spike's legal in: (a) whatever you're playing Unhinged with, probably draft; and (b) Commander, in which silver-bordered cards are legal for a month for funsies, but in which Spike doesn't function at all except to the extent your group agrees (because of the Commander rule about bringing in cards from outside the game)
@Trish bear in mind you then have to actually cast the mox lotus
@GreySage yes, he'll do things as of dec 8

true, 15 mana payoff is shieeeeet.

7:37 PM
@Trish With Spike and anything up to 15 mana, I'm sure you don't need the mox lotus to actually get infinite mana.
Scryfall has a search criteria to dig up cards Spike can grab: is:spikey

which is the fun of the lotus... unless you want to cast a 10 gajillion damage fireball.
the only way to make a gajillion damage fireball(scryfall.com/card/ima/128 )is... mox lotus XD
wait... Mox Lotus is not banned, but all the other moxes are?!

@Trish Because the other moxes were serious cards, not part of an un-set
@Trish That is not true, there are lots of ways to get infinite mana, mostly involving lands that generate 2+ mana each and untapping stuff

black lotus or lotus petal are back on the ban list? no wait, that is a false positive: lotus petal has no banned entry...
it is just /restricted/ in vintage, and legal in all others or just not legal.

someone i work with just came up with the perfect tagline for duncan hines (or any box baking mix)
"formulated to be delicious"

Black Lotus though... banned, restricted, banned, banned, banned, and not legal in the others.
@GreySage Coalhaulerpig near-infinite-damage-loop?

7:45 PM
@Trish I have no idea what that means, but probably!

Coalhaulerswine + Pariah = pig gets damage, it deals damage to you, which is redirected to the pig, which triggers the ability... you just need to make sure pig gets some kind of protection against dying and then at some point throw in a simple disenchant to get rid of pariah when enough damage is on the stack.
actually, you don't need to disenchant: combo stops as soon as the enemy is at 0 HP

Today in Presented Without Context:
In 1927, the tree was given its own postal address – and it was also married in 2009 to a chestnut tree in Düsseldorf

9:32 PM
@BESW Oh! Is this The Tree That Owns Itself!?
It isn't! :O

@doppelgreener aww, I was so pumped for the Tree That Owns Itself to get a cute little chestnut waifu

@Asteria But now this means there is another tree with fun weird stories!

@doppelgreener yay!

9:46 PM
BTW, @doppelgreener, the fudge dice script is still borked.

@BESW wait. it's borked!?
i've totally forgotten if it got borked somehow

I've got it installed but it... maybe it's not recognizing that the chat pages are where it should be activating?
The mod color script works fine, so it's not a Violentmonkey or blocking problem.

@BESW oooh, i know what it is (probably)
i can get that fixed up soon

Yey!

@Asteria exactly! :Dc

9:58 PM
@Trish ...or the OMRSTPLRLCNSWMTCTHTALCNE Elemental for short.

Ben
Sounds exotic

@Zachiel better late then never!
@Ben it is a monster that gets +2 on attack and defense for each monster on the art of the enemy AND is best combined with the wordmail granting +1 on both for each word in its name. So a 27/27 that gets +2 on both values for each creature on the art of the enemy... now, grant it trample and force the enemy to block it with something like the rat swarm for hyper overkill!

@Zachiel @Trish Unstable added... this one

but... that is not a cool combo

@Trish Fling it
or Ignite it

@doppelgreener is that, a thing?

The Tree That Owns Itself is a white oak tree that has, according to legend, legal ownership of itself and of all land within eight feet (2.4 m) of its base. The tree, also called the Jackson Oak, is located at the corner of South Finley and Dearing Streets in Athens, Georgia, United States. The original tree, thought to have started life between the mid-16th and late 18th century, fell in 1942, but a new tree was grown from one of its acorns, and planted in the same location. ok but,.... that is weird when we don't give that status to other trees (or rivers)

Ben
That's what makes them special

@trogdor it's a pretty cute story though! It inherited it's land from it's Papa Tree :')

The Whanganui case is pretty interesting, as New Zealand has also granted legal personality to a national park, and it's based on trying to translate indigenous epistemologies into modern law.

Ben
And even the fact that they "own themselves", makes the situation unique as well. Like you say, we cut down millions of trees daily, but this tree has legal ownership of itself, even though it cannot approve or reject this, as well as the fact that we do not "own" ourselves makes it unique as well
The situation that this arose is likely similar to when a person dies and leaves everything to their cat

mmm

@doppelgreener What about one of these?

My friend is an artist, and recently she did some artwork for our D&D group
I'm making her be a business person and request additional payment because I went over the original quoted price by requesting more detail in the artwork
