Q: Is the filter change necessary?

CoreyMy Betta, Neptune, lives in a BiOrb FLOW 30 tank which has a spongy filter material sitting on top of charcoal pellots. I was changing it monthly but got behind and the current filter is going on 3 months. I also got behind on water changes (don't judge, I just had a baby) and, to my surprise, ...

Aloha!

@YvetteColomb Very nice! :O

another friend took that. at a soccer oval

JAD
8:28 AM
a soccer oval?

8:43 AM
@YvetteColomb Those players look very suspicious, ringers maybe? Officials shoud investigate..
..and probably the pitch geometry too:)
Perhaps they are Video Assistant Roos.

They have pretty long tails, really. I've never appreciated that before.

9:07 AM
@Henders It's a big problem, for sure. Tail-trapping and/or pulling is a red-card offense, and can give away a penalty if judged in the box.

@MartinJames "Come on, Ref! That was a tail ball!"

@Henders Rubbish! It was ball to tail, no way could the defender jump out of the way!

@MartinJames He put the ball in his pouch! That's got to be at least an obstruction!

9:45 AM
@Henders lol

@Henders Was there room for the ball, with the baby already being there?

JAD
@RichieACC it's a small ball

@JAD Are we still playing soccer? Or does the soccer oval affect the ball as well?

JAD
@RichieACC yeah, to compensate for the lack of angles on the pitch, we play with a cube now

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

A: How do I eliminate the black algae from my planted aquarium?

SpidercatThe first thing you want to do to battle algae is to remove excessive light. The worst is when sunlight reaches the tank. Algae can grow in very little light, so given sunlight (or even a tank light that's on for more than 12 hours), algae will be able to grow even faster. It's different for each...

12:09 PM
@YvetteColomb Yessssssss!! Looks good:

she's so big

12:35 PM
@AJ in some places yes. But in the wild definitely not. They can do a lot of damage

1:04 PM
@YvetteColomb Hmm.. again, sounds like some soccer personalities:)

wild brumby foals
@MartinJames :)

2:05 PM
@YvetteColomb Is that a two headed foal? o.o

JAD
@Henders it's a very special two-headed foal, since it also has two bodies
It has a special name you know?
Two foals
;)

2:30 PM
@JAD lol
@Henders brother and sister. same dad

@YvetteColomb Ahhhh, sorry I missed the 'wild' part :P
@JAD Another classic joke... sigh :P

JAD
@Henders sorry :#

Q: How do hunters control their beagles, terriers etc while working?

Censored to protect the guiltyThe usual advice is "Don't hike off leash with a Beagle, she'll find a squirrel trail and you'll never see her again". However that's exactly what hunters do. They hunt with their dogs off leash, and they expect very much to come back home with the same number of dogs they left home with. Why?

@CeilingCat That's what all the Scotch etc. at the meet pub is for. After a few reviviing snorters, the hunters and whippers-in can no longer count the dogs, or even tell where one dog starts and another ends;)

Q: My Persian cat pee everywhere at home!

Cleo IndigoI have a Persian male cat. Its age is 9 months. I have arranged the potty pot for it. And I change its soil in every week. Also I have put a soft towel type material for pee. Almost from One month, it pees everywhere!!! That's really hard to clean everything else. It usually finds soft material...

Hmm.. I wonder if there is a market for a dog ID system? A pack of hounds on a pub car park is a totally chaotic system. Their tails are usually sticking straight up, so maybe paint barcodes on them? :)

lol

@YvetteColomb why does her fur look patchy?
