@Henders What do you figure out of the line "bad impression to the users's intentions"? It's really disappointing and encourages one to stop visiting the site.
The last few days I have come across a couple of questions of the same user that follow this pattern:

I think they mean it might look like someone who self answers isn't interested int he community, maybe? I don't think it's relevant to be honest because it's a common misconception that self-answers are bad :)
I think when one invests many hours in finding quality answer for the site, it is not very bad thing, if that person gets rewarded by some reputation, is it?
