@TheThonnu yeah thanks
Gotta love how it treats 0 and "0" as the same test name :p
That's because we're using .toString
Do we have a repr-like helper?
If not, we could make one and use that
Sounds like something we'll need to implement down the road anyway
It would go in StringHelpers I think
Cool
Also how to complex numbers in yaml?
00:17
Uhhh
Gonna have to modify the yaml loading thing ig
00:28
@lyxal When there's a multiline test, you don't need {}
Just do a normal
- in: whatever
  out: whatever
The {} is just to let you do that on one line instead of using indentation
That's just the linter being silly
it was supposed to be on one line
but the linter went and formatted the lists for readability
ah
ysthakur pushed a commit to Vyxal/v3-momentum-branch-1: Fix tests.yaml
Safe to remove the redundant tests from ElementTests.scala?
The ones that are repeated in tests.yaml, I mean?
yeah

github-actions[bot] pushed a commit to Vyxal/v3-momentum-branch-1: Scalafix changes
Green!

ysthakur pushed a commit to Vyxal/v3-momentum-branch-1: Use \!num tag for VNums
ysthakur pushed a commit to Vyxal/v3-momentum-branch-1: Merge branch 'v3-momentum-branch-1' of github.com/Vyxal/Vyxal into v3-momentum-branch-1
Unfortunately, tags can't be used inside flow sequences (the [] lists)
Better than nothing, I guess

seems like an acceptable trade-off for having complex number support
could also be extended to include fractions at some point
(todo: maybe have syntax for fractions - n/d instead of n d/)
saves a byte

oh ffs
of course native doesn't support the same regex as jvm
what the fuck
technical limitations and it's been a pain before (i forgot that native has a limited regex set)
13:17
gotta love having to over-engineer a replacement to regex
coulda had just:
s.split("((?<=[^A-Za-z]+)|(?=[^A-Za-z]+))")
  .map { word =>
    if word.isEmpty then word
    else s"${word.head.toUpper}${word.tail.toLowerCase}"
  }
  .mkString
now:
    val splitOnWords = ListHelpers
      .groupConsecutiveBy[String](
        s.toSeq.map(_.toString),
        (x: String) => x.matches("[a-zA-Z]")
      )

    val words = splitOnWords.map(_.mkString)
    words.map { word =>
      if word.length == 1 then word.toUpperCase
      else s"${word.head.toUpper}${word.tail.toLowerCase}"
    }.mkString
where groupConsecutiveBy had to be implemented from scratch
oh frick it actually passes JVM tests
frick it actually passed native tests too
that's disturbing because it's a) code I haven't actually even tested locally and b) got to pass tests on the first try
that never happens
not in software engineering
