hey wait is that a fracbyte encoder?
PS C:...\Vycoder> poetry run encode -v "₁ƛ₍₃₅kF½*∑∴"
input size: 88 bits (11 bytes), output size: 68 bits (8.5 bytes), ratio: 0.7727272727272727
11000111001111111011010001100000001110111001010110000100100101000010
An 8.5 byte fizzbuzz?!
@AndrovT so if I've understood correctly, this uses a database of all the answers on the site to run a sort of statistical probability encoding that gives a series of bits
if so, then do you intend for it to be officially incorporated?
because if so, I would be 100% on board with that
I did this as an experiment
If you want to incorporate it then I'm all for it
:D
I've always wanted to have a stake in the fracbyte market
and now, the perfect opportunity is here!
Quick question: how best would the bit string be represented in an answer?
00:20
I don't know
You could in theory pad it to full bytes but that doesn't work with the method I'm using now
Obviously just the whole bit string would work, but just for aesthetics I'm wondering if there's some other representation of bits
It's important to have the exact length, otherwise anything works
I know - and adding more things would increase the byte count anyway
# Vyxal, <bitcount> bytes

```
sbcs answer
```

[Try it Online! Link is to bit string](link)
Maybe something like that would be acceptable

Okay so turns out the above is just fine

oh hey the bot's dead
@Ginger please make the bot undead
anyhow, because the bot didn't post it:
yes we really are doing fracbytes now
one sec
and while I've provided an implementation into the offline and online interpreters, I'm not 100% happy with the interface I've written
Well, here we are again.
@lyxal for a start, it requires the entire vycoder library to be in the repo. But that's kinda a necessity because using it as a pipped library on pythonanywhere could be problematic
and the js doesn't know how to encode/decode the bitstrings, so it's unable to produce an answer template with the sbcs equivalent
not a complaint
just a technical limitation
which may have a better solution
tl;dr we have the chance to be the first fracbyte language that doesn't require a limited command set. Let's do it right.
and any suggestions on how to do it right would be really good
(by do it right, I mean tooling wise)

@AndrovT right, time to make Fig 2

@lyxal technically its not fracbyte, just compression
