wait what
h
the bot somehow isn't in the room but still posted a message
the message is intentional (I made it public on purpose), but the bot reporting it is confusing
oh beep boop is bakc
*back
!!/prod
@VyxalBot status
only in github push mode I see
it's not relaying anything
not to the discord
[Discord Relay]
lyxal#4610: hello, world!
but it is doing discord to SE
@hyper-neutrino bot not responding to chat
01:14
An IRL friend of mine is learning Vyxal :)
would that friend happen to be github.com/tobyck?
nice
I've seen them here once before
Hm okay
they didn't have 20 rep though
01:17
Hm okay
so they just displayed as user<longnumberhere>
it's the fact that you both work on pluto that gave it away lol
Yeah they copied that frm me
tell them i said hi and that they're welcome to come chat here any time (because I know they have 20 rep because I may have done a little voting)
it is?
huh
that would have saved a night-worth of work
oh well
but does it autolabel based on linked issues?
because that's what I added
labels based on linked issues
01:23
Probably not, the description says changed files
ah
so the night's worth of work was still worth it lol
glad to see I didn't suffer through github API for nothing
@emanresuA vyxal 3 not even close to complete yet :(
I plan on getting closer this summer
@user *looks at v3 branch* can confirm
And over the next year we can add a debugger too
also, the element list is far from fully specified
01:28
I really want to add a debugger to the new online interpreter
should be easier seeing as how it isn't going to be transpiled
I wanted a prod pull to save a byte
well watch this!

Lyxal opened PR #992 (Vyxal/Vyxal) (Vyxal:main → Vyxal:production): Update Production (18/05/2022)
01:31
@lyxal even the foundations aren’t close
chunkybanana merged PR #992 (Vyxal/Vyxal) (Vyxal:main → Vyxal:production): Update Production (18/05/2022)
y'all do realise you can manually open production PRs right?
.......um............no.
@lyxal yeah that was a big part of why i supported interpreting
lmao
01:32
@Steffan ... it's literally just a branch
it's just main into production
before !!/prod that's how we did it
I know
I was joking
no
you were (and still are) Steffan
@lyxal why did that take me so long to understand lol
01:34
@Steffan probably because you've never seen anyone fall victim to the JoKing trap
you orgot to change the byte count
...I have, in fact
lmao
99% of users have wisened up to not claiming to be JoKing
because back in the day I used to point it out a lot
01:36

A: Inject arbitrary code into a compiler (cops)

Aaroneous MillerVyxal 2.7 (safe) Yes, I found another another one. No, I'm not JoKing. As the rules call for deterministic languages, commands involving randomness are not allowed. Also, the EĖ† commands are not allowed, since those are designed to execute arbitrary code. Code and documentation can be found at t...

Today I remembered the comment I left on that
This is basically free labour and I like it. — lyxal Jan 29 at 4:35
oh and btw
no clue where discussion #4 went
thank you, vyxal bot, for somehow reporting github activity but not responding to messages here
very cool
!!/status
What a sussy bot
01:52
ikr
why
why would you kick it
It was too sus
It had to be ejected
at least it was providing github reports
me when i amogus the vyxal bot
@lyxal Sorry
!!/status
01:55
@hyper-neutrino I am doing anything but being sus.
gaming released in Vyxal/Sandbox
well at least it's back
yeah rebooting it will rejoin
@VyxalBot you say that as if you weren't ejected for being sus
the bot always "joins" the room on reload, it just usually is already in the room so it doesn't do anything special, but it needs to subscribe to the event
@VyxalBot gaming
@VyxalBot gaming
@VyxalBot I kinda want to test something with this
Y'all should totally click that one lol
02:00
holy shit my fave dQw4w9WgXcQ r

2 hours later…
04:21
@lyxal Oh that's why everything I have on Stack Overflow was up voted within like an hour...
that do be right
Hallo there
welcome to Vyxal (tm)
04:23
we're happy to have you here
If you have questions, ask here - it's much faster than emailing me
plus more people can help you out here

2 hours later…
06:44
Is it intentional that the element search sorta allows regex?
07:29
Not really
I mean it makes sense seeing as how it uses regex internally
But it's completely accidental that regex kinda works

2 hours later…
09:50
I've had an idea on how to kick-start version 3 development
A community editable list of 256 core functions that Vyxal should have
They don't need to be connected to any particular character and they don't need overloads
There just has to be 256 of them
Okay, sounds interesting. Yeet it in v3-planning I guess?
@lyxal interesting..
@emanresuA I will when I get the chance

2 hours later…
11:57
@emanresuA but it hasnt been released yet ;)
@Steffan i just compiled 1 2 + without any mishap

2 hours later…
14:11
okay so I've filled in the first 72 of the 256 core functions
based on what's already in elements.yaml for v3
and adding stuff from the wishlist takes it to 81/256
last modifier in wishlist exists
apply at indecies
well it still should be in v3
14:30
was just tellin steffan
dah frick I completely forgot to symvy ANTLR tonight
gosh dang
too late now
12:30am ain't time to be grammar
!!/'night
