1:00 AM
How do vectorised triads work if not all of the lists are the same size? Do they just error?

1 hour later…
2:17 AM
same way with dyads
0 is used
!!/run 1 2" 1 5r+

@lyxal ⟨2|4|3|4⟩

!!/run ⟨1|2⟩ ⟨1|2|3|4⟩ +

@lyxal ⟨2|4|3|4⟩

!!/run ⟨1|2⟩ ⟨1|2|3|4⟩ *

@lyxal ⟨1|4|0|0⟩

2:18 AM
see how 0 is used as filler?
that (should hypothetically) happen with triads
but of course that's completely subject to whether or not I actually implemented vectorisation properly

1 hour later…
3:19 AM
Ah
I thought dyads just used the longer list’s elements because I only ever tried with addition

No, it fills with 0s

Yeah I see that now. Note to self: actually read the implementation yourself when you don’t know what it does

3:47 AM
so does anyone remember how we got textboxes to stop being too tall?
that's what's happening on the flask site on the ft branch
and this was happening before, but it got fixed somehow

4:00 AM
okay I fixed it
nvm

4:29 AM
that's nvm as in i got it good

3 hours later…
7:20 AM
We're so close to 2.6 finally being released all we need is the python anywhere autointegration and the finishing-touches branch can be merged
Only took us 5 months lol

wooooooooooooooooooooooooo

7:46 AM
\//'; can be ṫ/ for -3 and (n÷)W can be f2ẇ for another -2 — Kevin Cruijssen 3 mins ago
Wait Kevin knows a bit of vyxal?
Holy crap

8:07 AM
Once done, we brag about it in TNB
a lot

Yes
Yes we do
@emanresuA we especially flex on caird who just seems to procrastinate on rewriting add++
Because that'd be funny

And redwolf, who hasn't started Ash

@emanresuA *never finished

True lol

8:46 AM
~c[/⌊÷ṡ|_⌊] to /k≈•⌊÷ṡ for another -4 bytes: 27 bytes. — Kevin Cruijssen 3 mins ago
Holy crap

I was trying to golf it using eval but meh
Look at the most recent message
ಠ_ಠ

how'd you even find that room 💀

By looking for stuff to antifreez

9:12 AM
Also, why, and how?
Since when can you create a discussion room from somewhere without comments?

10:01 AM
@emanresuA 11ing probably

!!/issue VyxalBotSE Compliments we need to be able to compliment the bot feature-request
Diid I format it wrong?

!!/repo list

Oh yeah that's right hyper moved it out of the organisation lol

Why?

10:08 AM
Totally not because of organisation owner abuse

1 hour later…
11:15 AM
@lyxal okay no seriously tho how in tf did Kevin manage to actually outgolf me like this?
like seriously this means that Kevin took the time to actually browse the element list, understand how things like mold work (well sure it's present in other languages, but Kevin still had to search for it lol) and also know where to look for constants

It means we have good docs
And stack-based is stack-based

it means Kevin is one of us

2 hours later…
1:08 PM
@emanresuA idk about good docs lol but vyxal is good enough for him ig

3 hours later…
3:43 PM
By the way @emanresuA, do you think it'd be possible to do something like regex101 for Vylight where hovering inside a structure highlights everything from the beginning to the end of it?

1 hour later…
4:48 PM
Every once in a while, I wish that a command treated lists the same way that it treats strings, but I make do. However, none more so than ½. We NEED a command to split a list in half. I cannot tell you how many times I have wanted it and not had it.

5:32 PM
is the first single-byte element I found that has no list overload. Let's make it do that.

2 hours later…
7:50 PM
@user Possibly, I'll have a look at codemirror plugins

2 hours later…
10:15 PM
@pxeger actually, I'd suggest to make it a list overload of I
Because I recently needed to vectorise
But I doesn't need to vectorise

Tsk tsk, don't you mean "I don't need to vectorise"? :P

@lyxal Can i be teacher of Vyxal? to users new to Vyxal or golfing langs?

You've mastered it already? :o

@user (basics)

Ah
Any help with lyxal would be appreciated 👍

10:28 PM
At some point I'ma create a Vyxal tutorial (Probably HTML/JS with a minimal interpreter (also in JS))

@emanresuA there is Vyxal tutorial
!!/help

All of my commands start with @VyxalBot or !!/
- Use "ping me" or "don't ping me" to add/remove yourself from the ping list
- To evaluate Vyxal code, use "(execute|run|run code|evaluate)", followed by code, flags, and inputs inside inline code blocks (multiline code is not supported; provide multiline input in multiple code blocks)
- For a full list of commands, see https://github.com/Vyxal/VyxalBotSE/blob/master/instructions.md

A better one, I mean
Like excercises + stuuff

@emanresuA Why not wor with HN for that?
He already has a site for that right?

Is HN also doing that?
Oh true

10:29 PM
iirc but lemme check again

stop

That's not really a tutorial, but it's probably a good idea to put one in there.

@Fmbalbuena ???

stop

10:31 PM
@user That is pretty good

Stop what?

stop

@emanresuA It could do with some simple exercises though. Hell, I could probably use it to learn Vyxal myself

@Fmbalbuena of course

@lyxal Ok

10:33 PM
@Fmbalbuena Are you alright lol

sotp

High quality flask site right here

ಠ_ಠ

what code?

I see it's using the no bugs branch

10:35 PM
@user ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ One of the things it doesn't mention is the huge builtin library

> aaron was here
wow such inspire

@Fmbalbuena It's vyxal.pythonanywhere.com
@AaroneousMiller very good modification of the Nb branch

Very good interpreter wouldn't you agree?
/s

What is /s?

10:37 PM
Sarcasm

ok so Vyxal is good interpreter,
but lyxal is bad
interpreter.

lyxal how many languages can you speak?

wut
@AaroneousMiller Since he's a bad interpreter, probably just one :P

@user that would certainly make sense

@AaroneousMiller simple 5: English, Keg, Minefriff, Vyxal and 1 other

10:43 PM
@Fmbalbuena and ><>

@AaroneousMiller Wanna know my interpreter?

And Australian
@Fmbalbuena Nice try, I saw that one

@emanresuA You got rickrolled.

@emanresuA u mean uɐᴉlɐɹʇsn∀

No, I hovered over the link, saw, and didn't click it. There's a difference
@AaroneousMiller yes

10:47 PM
I hovered over the link, saw, and clicked it anyway because it's an unironically good song

okay don't use mod flags unless you actually have something you need mod attention for
you're lucky I got to it first
