Can anyone recommend a Faulkener novel to begin with? I tried to read The Sound and the Fury a while ago, but I gave up on it (I just found it maddening).

@ClaraDíazSanchez The only Falkner novel I've started reading is Moonfleet, when I was a kid ;-)

Is it like in colour and honour, where the British version has a "u" and the American version doesn't?

@Randal'Thor No, it's the reverse — Faulkner with the u is the American version and Falkner without the u is the British one.

I don't know how they expect us to remember these things.
